Navy For Moms

Well, she has made it to January and still hanging in there. The doctor has her on limited bed rest now. So that is encouraging. I was able to visit with Kimberly and her husband Rob at the beginning of December. It was great to be able to actually touch her belly and also to be able to give her a giant hug. She is amazing!! We had a virtual baby shower for her here in St. Louis, while she attended via the webcam. All of her gifts arrived while I was there, so I was able to help get the baby's room in order. What a great feeling. I love being a grandmother (my son has a 13 month old that lives here in town) and I can't wait for the next one to arrive. I am looking forward to flying back to CA for the blessed event.

That is wonderful. I remember in August that you had a distress call saying she was in a California hospital, pregnant, alone and you couldn't get there and her husband was gone. Another mom, Kimberly Rad, offered to go to the ER until family could come. I know that his is your second update, and still good news. Let her know how many people wish her and her baby the best. I think she was the first Sailor rescue even though it wasn't on the offical site. My son (army) and his wife are expecting their first baby in March. This will be my first grandchild. They live in Alaska.
