My husband had to take a test in order to have some liberty. They say that I could live with him while he is in A school but is not recommended. Plus I wouldnt go with him now bcuz am pregnant.

Thats cool that you got to spend more time with your son. I think I spent less than an hour with my husband. He's in MS now. Hopefully I'll be visiting him on his birthday.

Hi Gina, I did get a graduation packet and Devin is on Ship 14 Div 210. My packet said he graduates on 6-5-09. He left for GL on 4-8-09. I am so glad I found this website. I have learned TONS. Have a great day and we will talk soon.

Hi Gina,
Mother's day was okay. I won't say it was great but we all tried to have a nice day. Congrats on getting the grad package. One step closer to GL. I am so glad you are going. I am really hoping I can go, but it depends mostly on these pregnant ladies in my life. Jeffrey's PIR will be the following week. I am hoping and praying all goes well.
Its good to hear from you and keep me posted.
Take Care, Krol

Hi Gina,
We didn't get a letter from the CO, but my daughter in law got my son's address from the recruiter today. I feel so much better knowing I can mail them to him. Thanks again for the info.
Take Care, Karol

Hi Gina,
My daughter in law got the box today. She was expecting it and she did okay. She was actually glad to have his sweatshirt. : ) She said she was glad she didn't get his Bible back. We didn't get an address but we'll keep writing letters to send when it does come. I'm hanging in there. Thanks for the info. on the division. Take Care, Karol

Hi Gina,
Thanks for the welcome. Our son Jeffrey is now four days into boot camp at GL. My daughter in law got the call, Hi! I love you! Good bye. She said she could hear counting in the background. She hasn't got the box yet. We don't have an address for him yet. I am writing letters just waiting to send them. I am trying to stay busy with my grandson, pregnant daughter in law and pregnant daughter. I figure if I stay busy I won't think about things to much. lol Yeah right. I was wondering how you found out your sons DIV and ship? I hope all is well with your son and your family. Thanks again for writing to me. Karol

There are so many emotions and worries that go along with being a navy mom. I am an army mom too n my son is afghanistan right now believe me it gets alil easier but you always have the feeling that your heart is crying. Be proud your son is doing a very good thing.

Hey Gina,

After the phone call that says they are alive and at Great Lakes, then you will recieve a box of the clothing your son was wearing when you last saw him. Yes, you will cry when it gets there, that is normal. In that box there may be a form letter with is address on it. If it is not included there, it will come in a letter in the next few days. Then you can start to write all you want. My son tells me that the letters he gets from hom really help him alot. They dont get a lot of time to write back, but they are getting their mail every day.
good luck
