Hey There! About the deppers' meeting. I will so help you out! We can talk about it tomorrow night. We'll get it figured out. We're NAVY Moms. ....we can do anything. ;-) Hope your day is great! See you tomorrow night!
Hi Julie, thank you so much for personally inviting me! Unfortunetly we have out of town realatives staying with us during that time. I do go on here and read all the postings as often as I can. I haven't commented on anything in a long time. I would love to see all of you again. Please keep me in mind for anything else. Hope all is well. Lynn
Thanks for keeping me posted Julie. I'm definitely planning to attend. If I have any other questions about it, I'll let you know. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. Joan
Hey Julie - I miss you guys so much. Sorry I missed the latest get together at Hiromi's. Life has taken over, and I need to get back in control. So much is happening. Anyway, I hope you are well, and please keep in touch. I am planning on attending the even on April 4th.
Hi Julie,
Thanks for sharing about the April 4th event. I don't think we are going to be in town that weekend. I hope you and everyone else is doing well...I haven't been on in a very long time...too long! I really hope to meet everyone soon.
Take care and thanks for the invite.
Hi Julie,
Thanks for telling me about April 4th. I have put it on my calendar. I could not make it today to Hiromi's luncheon because I had two out of state buyers in town and a new listing to do. I have worked 12 to 15 hours per day since Wednesday. I'm very tired. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.
Hi, my son,Brian arrives from Afghanistan on Monday the 9th, he travels everywhere by plane & land, never been on a ship. My oldest son & I are driving up to Pt Heuneme to meet his plane, can't wait to see him.
Julie,
Thank you for thinking of me. We have been focusing on getting my husband's uncle's estate closed and I haven't had much time to do anything else. I will try to come, but we are still working out the details of our son's leave (he is trying to see everyone he can in seven days in four different states). His leave is 3/31-4/7, so if he is here I may have to miss it.
Julie,
Thank you for coming. I had a great time, too. You are so sweet. I think we all had a relaxing and good time. Some times small is good, because we can all be together. You forgot the sewing machine. Call me. Hiromi
Julie, Thanks for lettng me know about the DEP picnic! I wish I could be there. I will be in Alabama for the Dixie Regional PGR Gathering. Tru is coming up from Pensicola and may be bringing a few of his buds with him. The Patriot Guard there has been doing an awesome job of looking after the guys. This will be my chance to meet them and thank them.
Sounds like the picnic will be great...at some point it would sure be awesome to meet up with all of you Ladies!
Ask Cory's recruiter who the Zone Supervisor is. We need to make a connection with him. Every month when they have a DEP Zone Meeting, USUALLY one recruiter (petty officer) will be in charge of setting the whole thing up and has to make an 'ORDER OF THE DAY'. The Zone Supervisor needs your name, phone # and email.
Please send me your email and I'll show you what I'm talking about... : )
I thought the planning for the coffee was really lacking and I'm going to let them know that today. I wonder what the turn out will be?
The PO in charge of the monthly Zone DEP meeting may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, so be prepared to take the lead if you want this to turn out nice for your Phx moms (and me), lol!!
You can start a Phx group (or two groups, east valley & west valley, since you all are so picky about what side of town an event is on!! lol) After you start your group, create a discussion for the Monthly Zone DEP meeting, explaining exactly what you're doing. This will probably become a monthly thing for you. And what you need to do are get more moms involved to help you out so you aren't doing all the work or have to be there every month. But try to cover the meetings the first 3 or 4 months to make sure it gets off to a good start. The CO in Phx, Brent Phillips, is the one who came down here in November when we had our first sit down potluck with guest speakers and all. He was soooo impressed with what our new Zone Supervisor was doing with us moms that I'm sure he has passed the word around for Phx to start the same thing. I call all the recruiters and the CO and XO and CMC by their first names. We are not in the Navy, our sons are. Okay this is getting long. ttyl :)
Hey Julie, I'm sorry I'm going to miss you guys this weekend. We have family in town staying with us....there is more to that story but I won't go into it, Hope you gals have a great time! I'll talk to you soon!
