Hey Ginny...........How did Robert do on his test? Austin as telling me about it yesterday.
I apologize for not getting back to you, it is just that I do not get on here much anymore. I am fine, we have recovered from the wedding and all is well. Austin is doing fine, just trying to keep his head above water with school. You know how that is. Right? Austin said that he sees Robert almost everyday, and Hardison quite often. How exciting about Robert's graduation! You have to come back and report all about it. Austin ad I were talking about that (graduation) yesterday. He was telling me that since graduation was so short that there was no need for us to come down for it. So...I am anxious to hear from you your take on things. I want to be there but I will wait to hear from you what you have to say.
I appreciate your offer to take something to Austin, but my husband and I are planning on going down there the next weekend.
Austin got to come home for the wedding............(God is Good!!) so when he went back after the wedding he took my car so he is fine. I really appreciate you offering to help though.
Take care and let me hear back from you after his graduation. I can't wait to hear!
You're welcome. I believe that Matt has decided to put the car thing on hold and stick witht he clunker for the time being. Let me know abot the return trip.
Congrats to Robert and your daughter. Matt is on the same leave schedule as Robert. I am positive that if Robert wants a ride back to GC after the 10 days, Matt will take him. Will save you some time and gas. Yes, Matt is on the same schedule as Robert now.
Received the call around 3pm est.. He is a sailor; the entire division passed. He said they don't really have anything to do except wait for PIR... He sounded real tired, too.
Thanks, I will remember to do that while we are there. What time during the day do we get to here from the SAILORS? Justin finished his test 54 minutes ago.
We are leaving Wed am hours and plan to do some sightseeing in Chicago after PIR. Justin would like us to go to a church service with him on Sunday if we have time before his flight to SC.
Thank you Ginny. There is so much to process right now, but it is so comforting to know their lives will be much more 'normal', and we can talk to them! Have fun with your Sailor during his leave. Perhaps our boys will get a chance to meet each other in GC.
Thank you for the information about Goose Creek. Chattanooga is a little over 400 miles about a 6 hr trip. All his friends from church want to go see him on weekends and go to church service with him from time to time....Is that possible? I am sure Justin will want his TV and other items there as well...
I will be sure to join the NUKE for Moms group as well... I hope your son is doing well at school, too.
Hi Ginny, that's so funny, Joe's PIR is 9/3, so he'll arrive in GC on Sunday 9/6, just after your Robert leaves GC, so they will miss each other. It's good to hear from someone with connections in CT and in Nuke school, I'm sure that I can benefit from your experience. So he gets liberty now for 1-2 weeks? Then what?
Hi Ginny, I read your post about life on a sub, so funny. My son will be joining that elite group soon. I hope he can take it. LOL, I don't think I could.

I come in early and should be home no later than 1:00 You want to meet at 1:30 at the McDonalds on main street in K-Ville? If you are on business 40 and get off at the 150 exit (exit after Linville rd) turn left and go across the bridge, there is a Mc Donalds on your left. How does that sound? Do yuou still have my cell number?
Hey Ginny,
The carpool thing sounds great. How is Robert? Matt seems to be doing really well. I can't waint for him to get home.He still has T-Track until Labor Day week-end, then will be home for 10 days. He celebrated his 22 birthday yesterday. His Dad and I both talked to him twice, think he was a little homesick being away for his b-day and Chelsea in California for her leave. I sent "the cake" I have made for him every year since he was a boy and he got it on the big day Just a tip. I have found UPS to be far less expensive that the US Mail. Remember the horror stories Ann had at our first Navy Mom's lunch? I took the cake some plates and forks candles a card and some contact lens to the UPS store. They packed it all up addressed it for me and sent in next day for $13.00. Anyway I have responded to the invite on the events page so I would love to carpool.
hey miss Ginny! it IS exciting to meet someone from mocksville on here! I hope all is well with your son. from what Jesse says he really likes the Navy. and as long as he is happy, I'm happy. I found out about this website through Jesse's Mother, its really neat! Jesse gets to come home on the weekends but he has watch usually every other weekend, so about every 2 weeks I get to see him (which I'm really greatfull for!)
Hi Ginny. i know jonathan is coming home sometime in september. as of now i dont know exactly when or how long.
he also has his car in my garage. it needs an engine. i dont konw what he plans to do about getting it fix. i know he would like to have his car with him. i'm glad the boys are doing well and have pass the first hurdle. i keep hearing how challenging this program is.
