Hey Debbie,,,thank you so much for writing to me. I am still in the shock stage I think. It happened so fast. Kyle was home thank God or I would have lost my mind!! Kyle had a scheduled vacation,,came home late the 26th. Even though visiting hours in the ICU were over I was able to pull some strings and we (Kyle and I) were allowed into to see my hubby for a little while. We said our goodbyes for the night,,the kiss,,the hug,,the I love you and I will see you in the morning. As we were leaving hubby said something and Kyle waited at the door. Hubby called me close to him as if he was telling me a secret,,and looking at Kyle said to me "How much longer do I have to be here?" I knew it was his way of saying Kyle is here now and I have to go. I can't believe that he waited for Kyle and thought I would be ok with him here. Sorry for rambling,,but anyways hubby passed the next morning one minute before I got there. And The Navy was really good with us,,,they gave Kyle a week extension so he was here for just shy of two weeks. I cried like a baby when he had to go back. He really took over the man of the house role,,,screening phone calls and visitors for me,,,and just being by my side for the whole time. So when you say you saw the change in Danny I know exactly what you mean!!! Anyways,,I will email you one of these days. I just wanted to say thank you for reaching out to me ,,,again.
Hey lady, sorry haven't been on the site in awhile. No internet at home so have to go down to the public library for now and keep forgetting to check on my mom site :( Glad to hear Danny is coming home soon, enjoy him. I sure enjoyed what time I had with Chris when he was home. Seemed he spent most of his time with friends and of course his girlfriend. I told Debbie H but not sure I told you... Chris got himself semi-engaged while he was home, her name is Lisa and she is a cutie, will post their picture as soon as I get internet back. He plans on formally asking her when he comes home for the holidays and by that time the ring should be paid for. She knows, her mom figured it out, but her dad is still clueless. Weather here has finally dried out and turning hot although not as hot as you are getting. Marc is doing road construction took the 5th wheel to live in (too far to commute) otherwise all is well here. Take care and enjoy Danny, Hi to everyone
Love ya!!!
Pam
Hey,long time no hear, how have you been?working hard i gather.yes ,i broke my foot the day after i got back from nas jax.the day steven came home.so the entire time he back,im broken!it sure sounds like when you saw the tr come in it sounds spectacular.i had an overwhelming feeling when i saw it come in,and it was im sure no way the pomp and circumstance it got when it came into norfolk.i will tell you i thought i was going to pass out over all the excitement.i met cindy and gwen up there so that was very cool.how is danny doing?what are his plans for the future.steven is done in november then he is going to school.i will say he came back from this trip a little different,i guess it will take time to adjust.so much has happened since we talked last. one of these days i would love to sit down and chat with you.you kept this whole group together, now were fading fast.i ever would have gotten through the holidays and birthdays with out you,so i am so greatful for you during those times!love ya-nancy
Oh yes... those two are something else. If you look through the pics on my page, you'll see one of the two of them when Holly arrived in Hawaii on the way home from her first combat deployment to the 5th Fleet. She told HIM first, when she got her first tat (yes, there are more) in Pensacola during A-School. She told him not to tell me cause she didn't want me to be upset... here I thought she was going to Iraq... but he told me that she had told him something but that "he wasn't supposed to tell me". I was RELIEVED to find out it was ONLY a tatoo!
Deb, had a great time in Norfolk. so glad to finally meet you in person, just sad we didn't have more time to spend with you. Hopefully will make it to Texas some day.
Hello Lady Bug, I am in Orlando. I am so happy that Danny is home. It's only a few days now..I am coming out of my skin with excitement...It's funny my sister ended up moving back to Baltimore last weekend...it was all God's plan that I move back HOME!
Love Ya, Cindy
Long time old friend since we have connected. I'm happy for you that Danny's home. Patrick gets out on May 2 so its not that much longer for me too. Are you coming to VA?
Oh Debbie, I am so incredibly happy for you. I will be there someday in the very near future although I can't say when. Enjoy every single hug and kiss...tell him he has alot of Navy moms who thank him for his service!! Hope to see you soon!
Hey Sister! Glad to here from you:-) I can not wait to see you! I talked to Nannie last night ( I will try to attend Last Night so I can meet everyone). Can not wait to here your voice!!! ....Rehne :-)
it was so good to hear from you!im sure my other son would love to hear from you.i have to get his address for myself.right now we are e-mailing.he has been my sons best friend for years.they both got into a lot of trouble together.and the navy saved both of there butts.scotty is an ao i belive, this crazy kid messes with ammo i understand.i thought they would see each other, but they did not, scotty was home here in florida at christmas and came to see me numerous times and that meant the world to me.kind of like a part of my son was here with me..his mom is a friend on my page so send her a note or add her as a friend.she knew nothing about n4m until i told her at christmas ,she was in the dark, like i was for the last 4 years.so i know she will appreciate your support.thank god for the eisenhower!our boys will be home soon!at least they will be home in time for christmas,so maybe the ike moms wont be as batty as we all were during the holidays!
