Hi! Just wanted to let you know that we are having a reunion on Jan 8th on the PIR group. Not sure of the time. Please come join us and give us an update on how you and your Sailor are doing! Cindi
That's fine! Yes, he'll be stationed in Yokosuka for 2 1/2 years. Oh, that's interesting. What will he be doing with the Marines? Yes I did! It was interesting and very much of an experience living in the dorms! I am happy to be living in my apartment now though. I live in the Da Vinci Crt apts in South Davis. Where are you living? Maybe we can get lunch sometime :)
I was beginning to think that you have totally blown us off. It would be great if you can make a comment or two on the San Francisco site - you know just hi - off to HI w bf etc. I am too disappointed that I will have to wait until another date to meet you. But I know going to school, working on internships, keeping in touch with family takes pretty much all your time. My sister took us to Yank Sing on Stevenson St in SF. Very expensive but very good. No reservation for parties less than 6. In Mtn. View, we go to Fu Lam Mum - it's OK. If you guys are near me, let me know we'll treat you. Joy Luck in Cup is good but I hate the wait. Stay in touch.

Just checking in. Maybe you didn't get my message.
Quiltlady and I are hosting a special meet and greet for young wives, fiancees and girlfriends on July 17. Can you come? Here is the link to the discussion.
Hi, I am also a student at Davis, a first year. My boyfriend is in the NAVY and he's going to be going to Japan sometime soon for 2 1/2 years. Someone on here told me about you and I thought it would be great if we could talk, maybe even meet! It's hard without our men and I definitely need to create a great support group!
Yang Sing is SOM in SF. Probably expensive but my sis paid. Long wait in line. Reservations for 6 or more available. There is a new one in Mtn. View - Fu Lam Mum - no where near as good as YS. My sailor son came home the first half of Dec. Younger son came home for a month from college after sailor left. So I did mommy duties for 6 weeks. Now I am back to working. Have a big project. Started the new group because all of Northern Calif is a big territory covering a lot of miles and life styles. Just having a group more centrally located geographically is beneficial - everyone is on the same page more often. Take a look of the Calendar and try to make one of the meet and greets down this direction. Good to hear from you and looking forward to seeing you IN PERSON. B.
You are inviting to join the SF Bay Area Navy Families group. Our emphasis will be from the Bay to and including Alameda, Contra Costa & Sonoma Counties. We have a number of families in the East Bay. Come visit when you get a chance. Click on “+ Join SF Bay Area … “ to join. I am hoping that with a smaller geographical base, topics of interest will be more relevant and everyone will feel more at home. I am the creator and admin of the group. How are you two? Have you eaten dim sum at Yang Sing? BunkerBee

hey! i finished finals today! finally! i'm exhausted from studying for 3 days for one damn class! lol. yeah i have to be strong because it won't do any good if i'm not strong for myself or for him. as a fiancee i have to be strong for my future husband. it's easier now. it sucked when i didn't hear from him, but you know i definitely feel a lot better :]
Hi Meilin,
No I have not finalized plans. Also my daughter did'nt think she could go to graduation because of school, and now she discovered she can. I don't know how to get her name on the list. Do you have any advice on how I can do this? Anyway, I'm so glad we got to talk to our guys!!!! It's been a long four weeks.
Hey Meilin, just got off the phone with Brian. It was great to hear his voice. I am on cloud nine right now. Brian sounded good, and said the same thing as your boyfriend. He said their division gets in trouble alot, but he said it's not hard not to get in trouble. He said that they were suppose to get 15 mins for a phone call, but since some guys were causing trouble the time for the phone call went down. I don't think it will effect their PIR. He sounded good, sounded like Brian but different. Hard to explain. Did you notice anything like that?

I'll try to come up to Great Lakes for his PIR, but I highly doubt it. I can't afford it and I have very difficult classes next quarter. BIO 40B which is Human Anatomy and Physiology and some math class i need to pass to transfer to SJSU.
btw.. ur so lucky u get to go to his pir... i can't cuz i would probably have midterms during the time his pir is. my winter quarter starts on the 4th.. and if he graduates in the middle of january or late january... i'm for sure i'll have midterms.
Hi Meilin, How are you? Are you going to be staying at the Ramada too for graduation? We are counting down the days til we can see Brian, It seems like a long time ago when we said goodbye to him. Have you received many letters from your boyfriend? Brian has sent us one letter so far. He sounded good, and said he was being especially careful with everything he does so he does not receive a hit. I guess if a recruit gets a total of 3 hits on an inspection, their graduation gets set back 2 weeks. Well I hope you are doing well, and it's wonderful to have people like you to talk to. Take care, and let me know how things are going.
