 I am doing okay. just heavy winds and rain where I am. Son and  daughter in law have no power. Her dad  brought them a generator...they are patiently waiting for Feb when  baby girl arrives on the  scene. I went for my SSDI hearing last week. and found out on Monday that  it went thru. Yesterday found out that they gave to it me  back to when I went out on disability May 2010 IS that awesome or what?? now I am waiting for  it to get into my checking acc't so we can get caught up on mortgage, bills and Nita can get a  new washer.. I hate  having laundry piling up. Its bad enough I have dishes in the  sink and my house looks like a " hoarders castle" But I can only stand for 10-15 minutes at a time... so nothing really gets done. Luckily my sister is coming in December to help me for a few days. I also  have  a  craft fair scheduled, but  haven't done all that much sewing. I made a bunch of crocheted dish clothes. but I have to get some other stuff made. I really should be taking my  Zolof to calm the  edgey. feeling I  have been having with all this  stuff getting ready for my hearing. You would think I  would have calmed down by now.. but I am in a cloud... trying to figure out what bills to pay off and stuff. To sit in front  of a  sewing machine right now would be a disaster. To top it  off , my  wrists cramp up after awhile, so I can't sew  or crochet that long before I have to stop what I am doing. Its freaking depressing. especially because I really  liked to sew, crochet and stuff. Well 2 yrs ago today my mom  passed away. Dad's 9 yr anniversary was the same day as my SSDI hearing(10/25) is that ironic  or what.? Well grandsons are  getting big, Tyler  hasn't been home much.. In a few months he will be 17.. in fact the 11th  of Dec. he will  be 17.. He is working at the same Mcdonalds as I worked before I left. HE  is  waiting til he has the money then he  istaking his 5  yr class to get his licence.. but he needs to be able to pay insurance before his dad will let him take his road test. He also has to have  money for his GED classes as  the little darlin decided that was the "yellow brick road  to the emerald city "for him.. I am hoping the  wizard ( his Common sense) steers him the right way or maybe the scarecrow can kick his butt. We shall see. Who knows.. Maybe this is the  route  he was supposed to take.. God only knows what's happening there.... just have to wait and see...

Well how  is everyone in your family doing? How's hubby, is David  behaving, Darlene doing well, and Kimmy, how is she doing? If I remember right, you told me she  got  married..  How is  your grandson? My grandsons are doing well. The youngest one  is 2 and the oldest one  is  9.  and I am not  sure if I told  you or not, but seabee and his wife are expecting their first  child on Feb 8. How are you doing? How are you cochlear implants doing?  I kinda gave up on the hearing aids as they hurt my  head,  and I still have to  look straight at  a person when I talk to them.. with them or w/o the hearing aids. I know  you should look at someone when they are talking  to you, but  if a person is standing behind me  or next to me, I can't make out what they are saying.. Well I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know I was still among the living. The top  part of this note, I have to admit I copy/pasted from another post, I didn't want to  type all over again as my hands hurt from typing it the first time around.  stay safe and I hope you didn't get hit too bad where you are.  talk soon

Greetings from New Orleans, Ms. Barbara! It's been awhile and I wanted to stop in and see any recent photos of your beautiful grandson....did you put up any?
We are still dealing with some heat but Hurricane Isaac did bring in a hint of cooler weather so there's hope! My son opted out of the Navy after finishing Nuke School. It's a frustrating issue for him but I always believe God has plans we don't always see coming. He was being transferred to Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean and his wife was transferring to Japan. At the very last minute they found a medical issue on his records and the rest is history. They are doing well in Japan together and she is loving her job with the Navy. Bobby wishes it could have ended on a better note but in the end the fault was not his. He still has his military benefits and will put the education to good use by attending classes for further studies in Nuclear power. Can't believe my middle son is now 20 years old and my baby girl is 13. I pray Kim enjoys every moment with her son - time flies so quickly, doesn't it?!
Hope you are doing well and not hurting too much. I love the Christmas season coming up - it makes everything seem so peaceful. I wish a wonderful Holiday Season to you and your lovely family. You certainly deserve all the best in love and happiness. ((hugs))

Dear Barbara,

Sorry you haven't heard back from me in so long. These semesters & kids are just running me ragged. Every day it's more stuff.  I now have to go to school full time or my student loan funding will run out and I won't be able to graduate so I had to add more credits so I could finish school.  I have the next calendar year to finish up.  If all goes well, I can graduate by next December (2012).  I hope all is well with you, the girls (Kim & Darlene), your son (David) and Aiden.  I would love to write more but I have to go to the doctor for my yearly check-up then off to work.  Never a dull moment.  I'm fine, but super busy.  I have classes until 8pm three times a week.  It really sucks.  All the kids are all getting over this lousy virus that's been going around but are fine now, except Nick who just broke his ankle last Friday.  Never a dull moment around my house.  These kids refuse to be kind to their bodies.  They play so rough, they think they'll never get injured...then they do.  When will these roughians ever learn? I will try to write again when I have a bit more time.

How's things with you? I am doing okay.. got denied again  for SSDI.. going to  appeal it this time. Kids  growing like a weed.. grandkids getting big. Joshua will be 18mos  soon.. o the 20th. Rj is in NJ now  working as a recruiter. I hope he likes it.. I don't see him doing this.. but maybe God will make it work for him. who knows. I am just happy that he  is i the  Northeast now.. closer to home.. MS was a long ways from home. But everytime I talk to him.. he asks me how the job hunting is going.. It isn't.. IF God meant for me to work.. wouldn't I be there now.. or  am I doing something wrong.. maybe I should be asking more of him.. but somehow it will all work itself out. i am trying to work on the crafts. Mom was gone a  year this past October and my DAd was gone 8.  Christmas is right around the corner... I spent a week at my sister's in Ct in Oct. It was fun.. I can't wait to go back.. I have gone  lazy since I came home... but  somedays I feel great others.. no.. hearing aids suck.. talking is another adventure  because I feel like I am a tunnel.. I can hear me fine.. but evidentally  others can't hear me all that great...

so what's new with you.. how's  Doug doing.. and  did Darlene get married.. how's kim doing and your  grandson.. he's going to be  2 soon  right? is DAvid staying out of trouble? What are you doing to keep busy? well  gotta get these  Christmas  presents finished.. TAlk soon.. Nita

 Hi BArb. How's things, hope you are doing well. Hearing aids are doing okay.. waiting for the right one to get back. I took them in to get adjusted as I hadn't  gotten them adjusted since I got them in MArch..The left one one is working  freat.. How  is Aidan  doing, and Kimmy and Dave,  Doug and darlen. Hope David  is  behaving.. How's married lie treating Kimmie.. RJ is back in states and in school. Hope to see him soon. well gotta go,  3 am  comes early, still out  of work.. neuro guy found nothing wrong except  carpo..  have  a nice nite. Hope to hear  from you soon

Hey Barbara,

So great to hear from you, so little Aiden is a year, where has the time gone? How is Kim, is she on a ship or stateside. Yes Shawn is well, in Africa, they are building a school, said were 30% done with project has a ways to go however, said very hot there. He finally got a package we sent a month ago, that's how long it takes, oh my gosh, snail mail, I could imagine if you were sending to Kim on a ship??

Anyway, take care my friend does farmville also, she use to do the pet one fishtank, etc. I'm trying to make my way back to facebook, my computer at home crashed, now back again who knows, will look you up on facebook.
