Billy's B-Day was Sept. 5th. I'll try to make time tomorrow to stop by Facebook and have a look at your photos. I need to get some more pics posted on my wall.
I am on Facebook...in fact we are already friends on there, lol. I don't really get onto the site much. Just hard finding the time to.
Hope you had an awesome time with Joseph this weekend! Billy left around noon yesterday to go back to S.D. You would think by now that I am use to the "good-byes", but I still choke up and fight back the tears when he leaves. I put on my sunglasses and walk him to his truck and hope he doesn't notice, lol.
Hope you had a good day today!!
Just stopping by to see how your Labor Day was! Mine was really nice. We had a big party for Dennis since he will be leaving for boot camp in a few weeks! Hope all is well your way! Have a wonderful day!!!
Hey Dawn,
How are you doing? Sorry I haven't left you a comment in awhile. How is Joseph doing? Is he back on track in A-School? Billy is home for a 4 day weekend break from school. Today is his 20th birthday! I haven't seen him yet today - only talked to him on the phone. He was in bed when I left to go work at one of my part-time jobs and he's been out with friends all day. We'll probably have some time to spend together tomorrow. I appreciate whatever time I get with him even if it's just alittle. Oh, he just pulled up, so I better run. Drop me a message when you have time.
Take care my friend!!
dawn u ok everything ok in the home front? we r ok except jay had to go back to the work place and our daughter and son in law is on vacation till next weekend to quiet here right now lol
Hey Dawn,
How is Joseph doing? I texted Billy alittle while ago and asked him if he called Joseph yet. He said he hadn't, but promises he will tomorrow. Not sure what he's got going on today. Didn't even have much time to talk to mom :(
Hi Dawn, I will say a prayer that it goes better for your sailor and you. Let me know what happens and how things are going for the both of you. I'm here if you need me. luv ya your friend, Pam (Alexis step-mom) Some day I know you will be there for me when I need you!
Dawn, my friend we haven't chatted in awhile. How's everything with you and Joseph? How is his school progressing and are there any talks of possible orders? You've probably been real busy, so drop me a line when you have time.
Well Dawn, I hope life is easier for you than it is for me right now... Ethan is going through with getting married this week, so even though they are very young, they are taking the plunge and there will be no looking back after this. Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead! I just hope they don't get blown up!
It was good to chat with you this morning. Hang in there, things will work out. Though he's a young man out on his own for the first time, you raised him to be a good man. It's hard to watch them make choices on their own, especially difficult ones. But they will make them with or without you.
Having been there with my girls I know it's never easy. But the one marrying our sailor and future son in law found a really good man. Over the months he has become like a so to me. The Navy has had a maturing effect on him too.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your son. Shout out any time you need a shoulder, etc. You've got my number now. We are all sisters here. Hang in there.
Dawn,
I know oh too well how you feel. My best advice, as difficult as it may be, is to listen. Try to relay to him, very briefly, about not jumping into a serious relationship right off the bat. When Aaron left for bootcamp he was VERY serious about a, shall we say, young lady of not so worthy intensions. They were planning on getting married, her parents were all for it. He was her knight in shining armor. She was nothing but problems for her parents. She had been known to be a drug user. She was 16, he was 18. I was freaking out this time last year. Aaron is now in San Diego and doing great. Dating around and experiencing new and exciting things. I had a difficult time believing people when they said that the other male sailors around him would be a huge influence on ending that relationship. It was a LONG 3 1/2 months of hell for me during that time. Anyway, the short of it is to have faith in him and don't nag him about it. Say your peace one time, then just let him make his decisions and mistakes and be there to support him, like you always have. My number is 316-644-5933. I don't leave work until after 5:30 or a bit later. Hang in there and know that you have support here!!!!! I will also say a prayer for him, and for you. Take care.
