Hi Mary! I know it has been awhile lol I think since back at BC :( How are you doing? I started a group called Good Ol' 3/20/09 trying to get everyone back in touch and to meet new ppl. We would love for you to join us!! http://www.navyformoms.com/group/goodol32009 Hope to hear from you soon!
It sounds like they are about two weeks behind each other, Ray will be home for a couple weeks the end of July then on to Gulf Port for combat training and then who knows. We are also hoping for California. That Point Hueneme or however you spell it is only about 4 hours from us. We are down the coast in San Diego. I asked Ray if he knew Rachel and he said he only knew last names but when I decribed her he said yes he thought he knew who I was talking about.
Hi Mary! I'm new at Navy for Moms, but I'm not new to the Seabees or Ft Leonard Wood. Please message me if you still need info about what happens after "A" School, and what happens transitioning to battalion or to shore duty. Feel free to drop me a note or post on Seabee/Special Ops forum. Hope to chat with you soon!
Hi Mary, Hope you are doing well! I just wanted to let you know that we put a chat box feature on the PIR 3/20 site. It is alot easier than having to refresh all the time. Come join us sometime. Take Care, Patty
Has Rachel gotten settled yet? We just got a call from Amber tonight, the first since she has moved. Was there anyone else from GL going to Fort Leonard Wood? When does she start A school? Amber said they should start the week of April 6th. Her room sounds like a college dorm.
I hope that Rachel is getting along fine. Keep in touch
Hi Mary...just dropping in to say "hi" and to see how things are going? Did Rachel get to her destination? Where is it that she was going? Was nice talking to you at the hotel, and thank goodness your son was there to play BB with my son. He didn't want to leave the court!! Angi called last night and sounded so good. Said she was actually having fun!!! What a relief...I can breathe easy now! Keep me posted on Rachel....take care!
I only heard from Angi once this whole time. They made her go to sick call the day they got their second call, so she missed it and wasn't able to make it up. According to her letters, she sounds good. Just ready to be done. Her exact words were, "I'm PUMPED"!!! No, that wasn't me that made the comment about the flags, but I read that also. Am anxious to find out what that is all about. Can't wait till Fri....See you then!!! Have a safe trip! :)
Hi Mary, I just read your comment to Connie about BS. On the PIR 3-20 group we have the battle station tracker and sue the purple pig comment that it was now correct. So our girls will be going to BS on 3-18 and we will get our calls sometime after 1 on Thursday. Drive safely and see you at PIR
I hope your husband is feeling better. At least you won't have to walk far. Save us some seats LOL Amber passed the second one two but mentioned she had to pass the last one. I thought once they passed it they did not have to do it again. Amber mentioned she got another bunk mate but did not say why. She has had 4 different bunk mates. Amber said they had an extremely busy week. I bet she is mad by missing it by 5 points. Well my husband says that later on they still get tested with weapons beyond bc so they can still get the ribbons. he said he got his when he got out of bc. he said you really don't get that much practice in bc. I am so excited I can't stand it!! I can not concentrate at work at all. We get our sailor calls in 6 days if I figured bs out right.
Hi Mary~Are you doing ok? I am so excited I can't stand it. Amber says they have a real busy week coming up. I think they are going to Battle Stations on the evening of the 17th. Did Rachael mention anything about BS? Looking forward to meeting you at PIR.
Hi Mary, just think 12 more days. We have started this weekend getting things in order. We have two dogs that we have to board. Started a list of things I want to take so that I won't forget them. Ambers letters are really upbeat. No more complaining about the girls not doing what is asked. She said she is ready for bc to be over with. Is Rachael staying in GL for A school or is she going some where else?
Hi Mary~How have you been? No real new news from Amber, just busy. I think they are to get a call this Sunday. We only have 16 more days. Did you hear from Rachael?
I don't know what it is with these hair cuts. You would think one would be plenty. I hope she don't trip over anyone when marching. I bet that was funny looking. They don't have too much longer before PIR so the ones having trouble marching will need to step it up. I feel bad about pictures. Amber took some with her but she did not ask for us to send more. I will have to surprise her and send some. Sounds like they are really stepping up the PT. I don't know when the next PT test is but Amber mentioned she off about 1 minute but felt she could do it the next time. Her blisters were heeled so that will help too. 22 more days! Keep in touch. Hopefully we will get a call Sunday. Amber did not mention that, maybe she is planning on calling her friends.
Did you get a letter yesterday? We did. Amber said she could not believe they only have 3 weekends left. So that was good she was thinking that way. She justs says that she is tired. She needs a nap LOL.
