we did make it back amid the blizzards and ice storms but had a blast,,, now my sailor is in san antonio and homesik:(,,, I hope by monday when they start school he will get over that!! how is yours doing,,,are you planning on going to SA????

I am just as excited. Barb, are all of your family coming to PIR? My mom and grandma are suppose to be here for Xmas, but Mike could only get four tickets. So, he put one for me and my husband each, his older sister and his best friend. His two younger sisters are under 12 so they don't count. I do not know what to do with my mom and grandma. I know they would both love to attend. Everyone loves him so much.

Hi Cat, Mike is in Div 45 the whole time he has been gone we have had 2 phone calls. One on Nov 15th and a really quick 2 minute call when he was at the travel agency last tuesday and needed to know our plans. I am so looking forward to the 24th!

I am soooo excited for him,,,,,,we are on our way tomorow!!!!1 will keep you updated!!! how about you,,,you guys will be next!!!!!

haha yeah got a long call yesterday,,he sounded so good ,,homesik but ok:) still uncertain about when he comes home ,,but will find out more later....

I'm not to sure where Wes is going, He is in the reserves, MAA, first he was going to San Antonio, last time I spoke to him He said Norfolk, That would be closer than San Antonio, He's comming home on the 24th for about a week, we are so excited!!

Thank you, Glad to know there are others. We are counting down the days. I can't hardley believe there are only 15 days left, at first it seemed like an eternity! Now it's just around the corner :)

have you heard anymore about the boys leave after graduation,,I know he has to go to san antonio,,but do not know any other details....about if I need to get tix for him,,,I see some had to get an itenerary for their kids to get their leave...just waiting.......

well I have gotten some more letters,,he is really doing good,passing all his tests,inspections and PT testing,,YEAH ! he is excited cuz now they are starting the hands on stuff and he is really ready for that ,,he is always active and ready to get out of classroom stuff..he is very homesik,but sounds upbeat about his time there ,,,couple more weeks:)

Cat, Thanks so much for the info. I wrote in my letter last night asking him if he needed the same. He will be riding home to Ok with us then we will either drive or fly him to San Antonio. I haven't purchased a ticket yet, do you think I need to? How do you use a military id? What kind of info do you need? Did you do it over the internet? And, boy are you right!!! I bet there are still a couple of times a day, that I think about texting him!!!!!

Cat, I was reading your post on pir 12-24. My son is also going to San Antonio. He hasn't told me I need to send any kind of travel plans. Reading that made me nervous. Did he have to prove he had a way to San Antonio, or prove he was flying home after pir?

got 2 good letters,,,sounds good,,had his wisdom teeth removed,,,so he is sore,,,,still havent heard about him coming home,but will worry about that later,,, what a handsome family you have!!!

Cat, did you get another phone call? Girl, you are so lucky. I was hoping Mike would call me again today too. I want to know how he is feeling since they pulled out all of his wisdom teeth.

sounds like our sons are headed to the same place on jan 5th,,,,I haven,t been told to get him a ticket for san antonio yet,,he was told he had to get there and make arrangements,,,,he gets to grad on the 19th ,so I wonder if I should get him a tix to be on safe side....:)
my son is an emt/ff did the us forest service for a season ,but wanted to see the world so the navy was it for him,,,he wanted to see something diff so he chose MA instead of strictly firefighting.....his dad is in law enfrocement and I a paramedic,so he can go either way ,,he grew up in it :):) now I am worried about the tix thing:(
