Pete:  So glad to see your page is still active.  Check in and let me know how you're doing!  Cory is home and found a job!  He started the first of this month.  Unfortunately the Navy has yet to cover any of the espenses of getting him back to Arizona.....I charged about $2,000 on my credit card and have had no luck in getting is back!  But he is home !!!

Hi Pete, alot of my sons friends- who are still on North Island are now being talked into EOD. He wants to hold out for DIVER even if it means going UNDES first. Is this a good plan? He has heard that once you go into the fleet it can take years to get out because "you turn into a number". I am afraid of EOD. I dont know why because he was going for SEAL and that is probably as dangerous, but all I can think about is that movie Hurt Locker. I am used to having some sort of control or at least the ability to ask and its like we do not have any roadmap--we have never done this before--I don't want to tell him the wrong thing. Not like you can pick up the phone. Thanks

So good to hear from you! Niko was sorry he did not get to mee you! He had only the one evening of liberty... he will definitely look for you should he get to SD again. This next couple of months he will be in and out of Fallon NV... what a hopping town that is! tehehe

Work has been crazy lately and tonight I have my two nieces sleeping over! We went to the park earlier, are baking cookies now and later is a movie and popcorn... want to bet on who falls asleep first???
