we are okay here, we are on a hill. I have a little water in the garage cold storage area but we also have a drain there. David is going to go get the kids from school. The water has stopped running over the road, that usualy means that the ice blocks part of the river. We are buttoned down for a horrible horrible storm with thunderstorms and a foot of snow. We do have an evacuation plan incase the water comes here, All is good

Just got in from dinner with some friends...I forgot to ask for the take home box until I was done eating!!! But I told everyone about the idea (when we were done eating!) and they thought it was great.

Thanks for the response. I work full time and am on the computer all day so I don't get on the computer much during the week.

My son, Greg, joined the Navy in Feb. 2008. He was only 18! He is a nationally certified EMT and decided to join the Navy for more experience in the medical field. He went to Boot Camp, Corp School, FMF in California and then Okinawa. He will be going to Afghanistan in July with the Marines. He will start his training in April so will be coming to California for his training and hopefully take leave in July before he is deployed. Needless, to say I am very worried, but proud of my son.

Auntie does had a mild compression Fracture of L1. So now she thinks she dying. Couldn't get any real family history, she spent most of the time telling me how unwanted she felt, how I wasn't a caring neice, I was selfish....you know the whole "poor, poor, pitiful me" routine! I was so glad to get home.

I hate to be paranoid....but those names on the event page really have me a little perplexed. They weren't there 2 days ago when I checked the page...no one new has responded in any of the catagories and I can't bring the names up on the members list.....Cory's recruiter never even got the invitation I sent to him...so it couldn't be PO Seymour. It's a mystery!!!

Hey Joyce: Up early to get to Mesa! I clicked on the April 4th event this morning and found something a little strange. Under the "attending" and "might attend" is a "Not yet RSVPed" section with 2 people I havent a clue about. Alan Seymour is the recruiter I sent the "event" to ....but who are Ch4cb and mrtorpedoman? Can anyone who visits the event send it out anyone they choose to?

Okay.....this is so funny because I just bought a pedometer on Momday to count the amount of miles I walk around the neighborhood...but life got busy (with a hypochondriac aunt) and so I put it on just to measure the miles I put in at work. So where do I post it...or do I just tell you?

I know...I couldn't believe when I clicked in and your smiling face and famous quilt were all over the site! I had to laugh. I didn't have a lot of time to read through it last night...so I'm headed back there now.

I just came across this group "ship-shape up" and thought I'd take a look at it......guess who's all over the place when I clicked in! I really like the idea of getting a take out box when your meal comes and putting some of it in right away. So many times, after I've had plenty, I just keep eating because I don't want to waste a good thing! I'm joining!!!

I really like MiMi's...foods good, they have a nice selection of things to order. I had salmon...they have a new "perfect portion" menu and it was pretty generous. Came with steamed vegies and potatoes.....and of course their wonderful bread!

I thought Melissa was on her way to Virginia now....

Hey Raspberry! I'm still bummed about this weekend. But, what a good idea to write some of her stories down. She is the last surviving sibling on my dad's side of the family, so it's get it now or it's gone forever! I'll take a pad pf paper with me. THANK YOU!

Nothing new. Had a good time last night. Went to MiMi's for dinner and didn't get home until 9 PM. Work was really good today...busy, made the time go by fast....and no one threw up on me! Gotta count those blessings where you can!

Cute Raspberry you posted on my page!! You are sooo funny.....could you move to PHX.!!! That's terrific news about Bryan's birthday package....how perfect is that!

Taxes are done. I owe federal, but only about $40 more than I get back from state....so right now life is good!

IF I make it to Tucson this weekend I'll probably stop by B&N on my way out Sunday for a cup of coffee. It's all up in the air right now. My aunt in Mesa hurt her back...thinks she dying...can be a little dramatic...and I'm the only family in the area. So, if I can convince her she's gonna live I'll be coming up. If she's still swearing she'll never walk again I'll probably be spending time with her. I'll let you know as soon as I can!
