Navy For Moms

I'm excited to share a new web video with all of you! As promised, this one is on the topic of A/C School. We hope this will start to answer some of the questions you may have about the next step in your Sailors’ career following Boot Camp.

As you will see this video comes from Chief Vanderwall, he’s a Senior Classifier out of Minneapolis. Since he helps Sailors get placed into their careers, he knows first-hand what A & C School is all about and why it’s important for your child to succeed here. Also, having come from a life in Sri Lanka that offered no means of attending college or a chance at a good future, Chief Vanderwall has found great success and opportunities with the Navy. His own mother was initially apprehensive when he decided to join!

This video is part of a series to acclimate you to many different areas of the Navy. Look for a poll on the site in the coming months, as we’ll be asking for your thoughts on additional video topics.

Sorry, CIT might be wrong. He passed the DLab test to become a language specialist. I don't know what they call them, all I know is that they study in Monterrey, California.

Would Chief Vanderwall, as a Senior Classifier, be able to help my son find a way to renounce his Mexican citizenship, in order to proceed to enter the training program for CIT? He passed the DLab exam, but could not be classified or placed in CIT because he has dual citizenship. His recruiter never found a way to do this, and my son had to choose another job he doesn't want. His first day at boot camp was yesterday, Oct. 28th, his birthday. Thank you.

How long is A school for an aviation machinist (Pensacola, FL)? Will another school follow or is that it?
