Navy For Moms

Hi moms, here's a new video from Rear Admiral Robin Braun. Who is she you ask? RDML Braun is our NAVYForMoms.com spokesperson. This site is very near and dear to her heart. She's a mom and currently serves the Navy as Deputy Commander at Navy Recruiting Command in Millington, TN. She's been in the Navy for 27 years, currently in the Navy Reserve. RDML Braun is a pilot and has flown the Navy's big aircraft like DC-9s and EC-130Qs (for her full background, see the link below). You may see more from her from time to time at events and on the site. Several of our members have had a chance to get to know her. Hopefully, as this site continues to grow and our events spread around the country she'll be able to join in again.

This video is part of a series. Next to come is one dedicated to A/C School. Hopefully, it will give you some insight so you'll know what your Sailors can expect in their next training position. Look for a poll to hit the site in the next few months. We'll be asking you for additional video topics.

Here is her bio on Navy.mil

Also is there a way to change his job once he is already inlisted. His recruiter told my son he could once he was in bootcamp. He is currently registered to be a Navy coreman however my son faints at the site of blood. Recruiter knew this and was trying to change his job (?) but it never happened. This was over a course of 1year. He was a dep recruit. He is worried he will not pass his A school. Any suggestions??? Please

My son is still in bootcamp and should be done at the end of November. He injured his knee and is in rehab for one week. This has been a very trying experience for him.

My son is currently in Div 3241 Shop 06 Due to a leg fracture. The doctors say he will be there another 6-8 weeks to heal. He says he is in RCU. Are they allowed to have any visitors during this time, as he was only five days from Graduation when he went to the doctor. Thank you for any information.
