I Can Finally Relax

We finally received a letter from Stephanie last week. She said she did not have quarters to call home. No one said anything about needing quarters! We moms should put together a "Rookie Handbook" to help the parents along. Then we need to give them to the recruiters to pass out.

Anyway, I was so very glad to hear from her. She said it was snowing when she got there. (That's a big deal to those of us from Texas!) Her first shower was interupted by a fire drill so they had to get dressed wet and go outside. She sounded happy and that's all that matters to me. She even sent me a separate note to wish me a Happy Mother's Day.

Her graduation is June 20th. So we all will make the 989.3 mile trip by car. With there being 5 of us, flying is out of the question. It will be a new part of the country for us to see and should be fun anyway. We are used to our suburban, so renting a car to drive up will be an experience for my kids. I'm sure I will need to bring a rope to tie a couple of them to the roof of the car. LOL.

Can't wait for the next letter to see how things are for last week.

I agree about the "rookie handbook". Send pre-paid phone cards instead of quarters for calls. Catch up with you later!
