When you go to PIR, they tell you at the security check in, which is QUITE a production.....it is AMAZING how thorough they are....they told you DO NOT TAKE PHOTOS ON BASE AT ANY TIME....we are allowed to take pics in the hanger where the ceremony is, but not ON BASE....soooooo....before we left for Great Lakes, I bought this fantastic new camera...allowing TONS of zoom and all sorts of fandangled buttons, bells and whistles....so I took TONS of pics at the ceremony....as we where leaving the hanger, I was outside wanting to take a pic of my new Sailor walking away, when an MP came and touched my arm stating no pics on the base....#1 oops.....then as I was walking across the street, you where supposed to cross at the crosswalks, I was yakking and started to cross NOT on a crosswalk, I got yelled at....#2 oops......THEN, it was the last day with our son.....his old girlfriend, who went to the PIR with us and my Hubby brought him to the gate, and as he was walking toward the base, I grabbed my camera, we where in the parking lot alone, so I thought......I hollered for him to wave, which he gladly did and I hear from behind me "Ma'am.....MA'AM" I turned and it was an officer in a cruiser and he asked me to come towards him, he asked to see the pictures I just took, which I gladly put on a slide show for him on the screen. He said "okay Ma'am, you do not have to delete any of those pictures but please know, you can not take any pictures of the base for security reasons...."...#3 oops....
I've always been a rebel but at 47, I thought those days where OVER....LOL...but I guess not.....
