Navy Moms!
I am so excited. :)
This is the best snowball ever! I’ve been so curious…how did you find out about our community? Some moms have told me about the http://www.nstc.navy.mil/rtcgl/family/index.html site… Is that were you found us... or was it through another source? Thank you!
UPDATE 4/20/2008: Hi Everyone! I brought this forward because I really want to know! :) How did you find out about us?!
Our recruiter told us about the RTC web site and while I was there to check out the NAvy Moms web site that it would really help. I have to say it did help my Sailor, my Navy Dad and myself. THANKS
Navy for moms is fabulous. I found out about it mostly from the TV spots, but my sons recruiter actually gae me the little push to get started. It has helped me with alot of those little questions only moms wouldnt think werent stupid. Thanks for that.
I found this site because I was hurting and grieving when he left and really needed to find a way to understand the shift our lives had taken without him. So naturally I went to Google! The first thing I found was an article detailing their upcoming experiences in a way that not only gave me information that eased my mind, but also made me laugh. This is the link: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navyjoin/l/aanavybasic1.htm
Next, I went to GL's own site and read everything I could there. When I felt I'd wrung that sucker dry, I clicked on the Navy For Moms link they have posted on the Family Homeport page. I'm so glad I did. I come here and read, sometimes post, always laugh and generally have a good cry. It was amazing (and relieving!) to know that what I was feeling, others were too. So I wasn't crazy! Or at least I wasn't crazy alone! What a relief! I can't express how helpful this site has been in allowing to simply get through my days (and nights). All I can say is, Thank You!
I found from the http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/family/index.html website. We are 7 days away from PIR. There is no way I could have made it this far without the support of all of you. I love everyone of y'all!!!
My son's recruiter recommended the site to me when we dropped him off to leave for GL. Thanks for such a great site. I'm learning a lot and getting a lot of support.
Complete accident!
I was on myspace, actually photobucket looking for images and came across it by accident. So much so I am sure I could not duplicate whatever I did lol.
Now that I am here.. I am so glad to have found it, and wish I had know of it when my son was in bootcamp!
I share my new found N4M site with anyone who seems willing to listen lol.
I am so thankful for this site. I found it through the search engine help for parents navy. Now I feel I have an informative, helpful, support group. I have learned so very much. I feel here we can support our kids, support each other and much more. We can share joy, laughter, encouragement, fears, and tears. Bless everyone of you. To me this is family.
