Probably not for a couple of weeks and then it will be in a letter - not a call. Our son has been there for one week as well but we have not gotten his address as of yet. Our nephew will be graduating on March 7th- less than a week away and he has only been able to call home once since he started his training. The family is hoping he will call before they leave for graduation. Phone calls are often driven by how well his division does and if someone in the division is messing up ...it can cost everyone else,

Mary if you call the recruiter he can give you your sons address. My son has been gone 3 weeks now and we have gotten a couple letters and 1 phone call yesterday it way great to hear his voice. He is doing great and will graduate on april 4th.

That is awesome Brenda, perhaps those holidays helped. What division/ship is Brian in? Hope that you will be going to graduation next week and sharing in his pride.

My son left for bootcamp on Feb. 7th and his fiance got a call from him a few minutes ago....

I'm trying not to smile TOO big as I write this but our son has been gone for 9 days and we got a phone call tonight from him!!! He "earned" it for answering some questions correctly. It only lasted about five minutes but it was wonderful to hear his voice. He sounds good and had NO complaints, says the food is good and he just started PT today. He had a cold but I think many of them do but otherwise I think he is really doing okay.

Hoping that all the moms get a call soon!!

i got a voicemail just yesterday and I had my phone with me and it didn't ring at all. i know he was disappointed that he didn't get to talk to me. I hope this doesn't happen again.

I have heard after two weeks. We got the "Safe call" last night at 11:32 pm, and he said he would not call again for two weeks, they have to earn the right to make phone calls also. It is hard, I know, mine just left yesterday and I have not stopped crying, it feels so odd? I am very proud though! That gets me through! Good Luck!

Well i got my phone call last sunday and it felt great to finally hear from my fiance.. i thought i was going crazy.... so does anyne know when the next phone call will be??
