Navy For Moms

Would like to have everyone join in and tell everyone what they are doing with their families on this special day of celebration.

Me personally, I'm going to enjoy today spending with my granddaughter Madison and giving my son and his wife a day to themselves before he gets ready to go to boot camp in three weeks. I'm so excited that it will just be me and her for the day. :)

It seems we are planning on a similar day! My daughter is picking up her gdaughter, Kaylei and bringing her to my house so my hubby and I can share some time with our ggdaughter. We will be giving Kaylei's mom some time to do some redecorating in her home (like painting) :) Don't you just love it?

Hi Vera: Glad to hear you got to enjoy your baby granddaughter. Yes they are wonderful.

I stayed home alone with baby Madison and tell you something it was the biggest thrill. Then today my son his wife and my baby granddaughter came to a BBQ my boyfriend and his family were having today and spent the whole evening with us. It was SUPER.

Thank you so much for sharing. It's great to hear from you.

I have alot of patriotic neighbors. We are blocking off our street and having a block party. You know BBQ, swimming, the kids are decorating their bikes, baby strollers, scooters or whatever they want they have a little parade of their own. And of course I'll be on N4M off and on. For a navy mom this site is worse than drugs and alcohol as far as addiction goes..lol

Hi!
I hope everybody has a happy 4th!! We are going to our friends house that has a nice waterfront house on a pond and celebrating with clamcakes, chowder, stuffies, the whole shebang!! Of course there will be some cocktails and cap off the evening with watching fireworks. I'm sure I'll be blubbering the whole time because where we view them has all those awesome patriotic tunes piped in the background and I will be thinking of my boy that is usually with us watching that lovely display!!! Enjoy the day moms!!
Karen, you are right about this addiction!! I'm sure there's is something I should be cleaning- I'm obsessed with this as well!

Happy 4th to everyone!!!! My sailor Brian is home for a few days before reporting to Camp LeJune for combat training. I'm going to miss his 21st b-day on the 13th, so we're going to be celebrating it tomorrow at a big bbq bash!

Tonight we're going to a party thrown by my boss....can't wait!

God bless you all!!! Have a great holiday weekend and please stay safe!!! We all need each other here come Monday! LOL

Love ya all!!!!

I woke up to the phone ringing this morning. It was my son who is in Pensacola for A school. He was feeling a bit sorry for himself since he has duty all weekend. I gave him a little pep talk about it. I am sure he will be fine. I think he is missing being home and all the 4th of July traditions we do as a family. He is probably missing "blowing up stuff" more than the family traditions! We will spend the day with the other 2 kids and their families. I have a 10 month old grand daughter, Kaylen, who I already have dressed in her red white and blue outfit. We will do the usual picnic and fireworks and we will all be thinking of our Sailor.
Happy 4th of July to everyone!

We are from Texas and spending the week in Pensacola Florida with our son that finished and graduated A school on Monday. He's waiting on orders for his next duty station. It's been a real blessing because for the past 3 1/2 years he's been stationed in Japan. There is a wonderful group of sailors that serve our country. Each and every parent should be proud of their children. We are celebrating on the beach tonight with fireworks. Hope that everyone has a safe and Happy July 4th.

Today my wonderful hubby and I are celebrating our 8th anniversary. The whole country celebrates with us every year. How cool is that? :) I hope everyone has a safe and beautiful holiday weekend!

Happy 4th everyone! Talked to my daughter, who is Bahrain, this morning. She sounded a little depressed about not being home with us. But she assured me that she is ok. They are having a concert later. Couldn't understand her who it was, but she is looking forward to it. We took our 7 month old grandddaughter, Emiliana, to fire works last night downtown by the river. She loved it! Today we are going to a parade with her and her parents. Then more fire works tonight! I hope and pray that you all stay safe and have a wonderful time in everything you do! God bless our troops and God bless America!

Last night our town had fire works at the junior high, today a bar-b-que and hopefully more fireworks. My daughter called from great lakes this morning and said that she marched in a forth of july parade; glad she is showing her fourth July of spirit!!!!! Happy 4th of July to all Navy moms everywhere!!!! Lynda & family
