It's time!

Yep. A debate between United States vice presidential candidates Joe Biden and Sarah Palin is scheduled to take place on October 2, 2008, at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

That being said... please keep it civil. please source your facts. please don't use cheap shots on other members in your post (no matter how much you might want to). Focus on the issues at hand... yada, yada, yada... Ladies, Gents- we have been through this countless times before. With less than 6 weeks to go... let's note that most of us have already made up our mind.

I agree on not acting like a man, but there is lots inbetween the two. to be feminine does not mean acting cutsie. I think she takes it too far, sometimes she does not, It seems when she really knows what she is talking about she is very well spoken, but when she is unsure she gets all "cute acting".

I am all for a woman in the white house, but I prefer one that does not need to use cute to get there. Just my opinion, Right now I am very stressed about this whole Navy thing, not knowing what is going on is killing me so I think I will avoid the political part of it for now.

God Bless you and your recruits no matter what political views you have!

I wonder if Palin has any idea what men are saying about her. I over heard a group talking last night and it was sort of sad. They said they had to get home to watch "thier hottie women." Then went on to say they were voting for her "and thats not the only thing Ild like to do tor her." And then laughing. Then she goes on tv and winks.

I can recall some women who were voting for Bill Clinton because they thought he was hot. Me, I never saw that in him, but apparantly some women did...and still do.

This is Bill Clinton on being "hot" YUK.

Yes, those winks were really over the top, she is a caricature of herself.

She winked 4 times, and once was to her dad.

A bit excessive in a VP debate, winks? Folksy cutesy, it just did not make her look intelligent, it made her look as if she was trying to skitter away from anything she may not have known, buy putting on this "littler darlin" act.It was fake , and if it was for real, that's worse.
Wind up doll reciting her notes.

I don't recall her saying that. I do remember her talking about Senator Obama wanting to meet with rogue leaders like Iranian President Ahmadinehad without preconditions and how dangerous that would be.

Hmmm Debra I'll post the video of the debate soon.. until then... thought I post the link below to your comment:
Just curious did I hear her right when she said working with the Taliban? I forget the exact words but we all sorta said WHAT? Even though I have never been a fan of Palin I am hoping I heard that wrong, or that she just mispoke again.

I totally agree Sharon. I will have to admit I was a little scared of how she would do but she came through like a trooper. I really like her and Cindy McCain. I was concerned after her discussions with Gibson and Couric howeverI have since found out that the Gibson discussion was editted with key components that showed that she could answer the questions, cut out. She did not have the no editting clause that Obama had in the interview contract. That was a mistake on their part because the media will do anything, even going so far as to be almost, if not illegal, to smear Sarah Palin and John McCain. Sorry CC, I do not have the link to the above referenced clip but I saw it on one of the threads here. Of course, the liberals are saying that they do not believe it but I do.

I wonder what questions they were? And why they felt the need to do that. If you end up finding a link that supports the above, I would be interested in reading it Carol. – CC
