Navy For Moms

I just read a wonderful story of a Mom who payed it forward.(remember the movie) So here is the challenge, there are almost 5000 of us on here, if we all pay it forward to 3 others that will be 15,000 peope we can touch today, if those people touch 3 more, that is 45,000 people and it goes on. I am challenging you to reach out today, give a ride to someone, call a long lost friend, say an extra Prayer, donate those extra clothes, reach out and talk to the person in front of you at the store. there is no limit to what you can do, we have the power to brighten someone's day or life. Let us know what you did, Pay if Forward, It is Contagious! take care Leann

Oh Teri - my heart goes out to you. A prayer now that her hubby will find something and soon. You nust be a blessing to your Mom -many kids are too selfish. I started paying my Moms rent 2 years ago -otherwise she would have had to move -God knows where! I asked my brother and 3 sisters to help but, nothing from any of them. I know what an added expense these things can be every month but, you will no doubt be blessed for it.
I sent a copy of 'I Believe' to my youngest sister (with cancer at 45 years old) to cheer her up. She does not have a computer, so I mailed it instead. Sent a copy through e-mail to all my family/friends there. Just an uplifting thing. I hope it brightens their day. Brought donuts to work Tuesday - just a 'sweet' way to start the day.
I have paid for the order behind me in the McDonalds/Dairy Queen lines - mostly do this at holiday times when people seem frazzled -just a little something to reaffirm their faith in goodness and kindness.
We have had so many good ideas already. I am so happy to be a part of this wonderful site.

I love this. I recently moved to a very small town and I am amazed at how people here pay it forward without a thought. My neighbor came to my house a week ago and told me her son was in the hospital and her husband who is recovering from a triple bypass (87 years young!) couldn't drive her. My husband and I both without hesitation offered to take her. She was so touched that she sat in my living room and told me that her son has cancer and it has metastized (don't know spelling) and doesn't sound like it is treatable. I took her to Amarillo and we spent the night and brought her son home with us the next day. I am so blessed to have this woman be a part of my life. I hope I am as beautiful and classy as she is when I am 82.

We forget how small towns come together all the time for whatever reason.

Here's another example...my husband was an elderly woman sitting outside our local department store. She was sitting in a wicker rocker and he had a conversation with her about how comfortable she looked. She said that she kept hoping she would come some day and find her name on one of those rockers. Well my husband purchased that rocker for her and had it delivered with her name on a sign on the rocker.

We can all do these things if we just stop for a minute. We really are blessed when we take care of others first.

I just had a thought. My son is just finishing A school. I know how much mail meant to him. The cards and letters I sent and my friends sent (even people in my new town who don't know Jordan). So my brillint thought is to send cards and letters to other peoples sons and daughters. I am not sure how to go about this but if anyone has an idea please let me know. If I remember right I can't just send mail without a name it has to be properly addressed. I also love to bake goodies and have no one at home to eat them so if your children know of anyone in A school who maybe doesn't get care packages I would love to fix up some boxes and send to them.

Have a wonderful day!! :) I am so very proud to be a part of this group. It has reminded me that there really are people, strangers even who truly care about one another. I love this topic and tend to get mushy and weepy but it makes me happy to help where I can.

Please help me with this. Thanks

I just bought a decent used car for my fiends. They're young and struggle financially; I worry because they always have had junky unreliable cars. She was in the Navy, but was given a medical discharge. She had to return he sign-on bonus because she hadn't been in long enough. The money was long gone. No, we can't really afford it, but we can't afford for them to drive our cars all the time either.

Here's another idea I adhere to: Leave No Trace. I hate trash on the ground, I pick it up automatically. My motto is Never Let It Hit the Ground. My pockets are often full of trash! I try to get smokers to not drop their butts. A small thing, but makes the world a cleaner place. I'm big on park clean ups too.

While at Great Lakes we had a car that had a I pass, which meant we did not have to pay tolls coming off the highway. Instead of going thur the gate that let's you pass right thur, we went to the pay gate and payed the toll for the next 2 cars coming. The toll lady or man thought we were all insane, just could not comprehend the reasoning for this. We laughed and went on our way. It felt so good! My son and nephew payed it forward by inviting a new Sailor to join us for the day whose family had to leave early on Sunday. Remember, Pay it Forward it is Contagious!!!! take cae Leann
