"A" School in San Antonio, Lackland AFB

I went to my son's "A" school graduation - although it was in Virginia Beach for MA - not San Antonio. This was a very nice graduation, but absolutely NOTHING like PIR!! I was the only mom present - about 12 graduates. There was one grandmother and an uncle. It was just held in a room with folding chairs and had cookies and punch afterward. The time spend with my Sailor that weekend was priceless!!
Not sure about hotels around the base - I have seen it on here somewhere though.

Does anyone know if we ship a package USPS to Lackland - it they get it in mail call - or do they have to go to an office or somewhere to pick them up? I sent a package Monday and tracking said it arrived their Wednesday morning, but we haven't heard whether he got it yet. Any information would be welcome.

Hi My daughter just called so I asked her. She said they have to go pick it up, not sure where. She's suppose to call back later and I'll see if I can get more info.

He called tonight - and he went to post office and got his package now. I feel much better now that he can keep in touch. He said they got peppered sprayed today. Wasn't nice - but part of the class. They took a test also today and 15 out of 53 had to retake it he said. Otherwise things are going good. Thanks for your help and God Bless you and your daughter.

Hi they must be in the same class. My daughter said the same thing about the 15 failing. She was the second person to get the spray this morning and her eyes still hurt. When you mailed the package was the address just his name, class # and lackland?

When I mailed it - it was just his name and address. Now he gave us his class # too. But it only took two days to get there - and one to get to the Navy post office. So that isn't bad.

I am not a mother of A school in San Antonio...but...I do have a son in Pensacola going to A school. Truth is I live a few miles from San Antonio... I realize not all sailors have a pass for Thanksgiving and would be honored if they would join my husband and two children for Thanksgiving. I can transport up to four people and can accomadate more for lunch if they had transportation. Actually maybe can even pick up 7 with our pickup. Just wanting you to know that my home is open and these young ladies and gentlemen are welcome...This is a Texas Hello and welcome to you children.

oops let me clarify... 4 in the car and 2 more in pickup is only 6 my bad we just traded off our van and I can' t count. The door is open
