Submarine School in CT-Care pkgs?

Some questions....my son is now in Sub School in Groton...Graduated Oct 3.
I'm wondering what they are allowed to have at this point. Can we send goodies to him like homemade stuff "care pkgs"? I thought I remember hearing that they could not receive home cooked goodies.
