wow, look how big our group is getting! This is great! So nice to 'meet' you all. I like this idea of us wearing something to help us ID each other at PIR.

I think there is going to be 13 DIV graduating on 4/18. Alot of Proud Sailors..and families.

i have a son graduating 4/18. div 150 ship 07. i'm flying in from north carolina. booked 2 rooms at the comfort inn. has anyone heard anything about that motel??? don't know a thing about chicago. i am really getting nervous and excited!!

We get our information through this network. None of us know anything! Some mothers have been through the boot camp/graduation themselves or 2 kids. Navy for Mom moms know lots of information. I have learned sooo much. I feel less isolated now because I know what's going on --roughly--and am not upset when I don't get mail from my daughter. Between her and all of you, I understand that she cannot write often and often they all lose their phone privileges because their 'room ' is not clean enough or they all talk too much!! Keep checking in --

Nice to meet you, Winston. Sounds like you have your plans set for PIR. I also know nothing about Chicago - I've been hitting up our local libraries, trying to find some books about the area. Got a couple and glad I did. If you have AAA, ask if they have info they can give you. I plan to go there soon.

I am at Comfort Inn also, I know zero about Chicago/Great Lakes area. I hope the place is clean, and well, clean and comfortable. Apparently, it is very close by the base.

hey!!! i am flying in on the 17th and staying at the comfort inn. i don't know anything about chicago either. we will be there until sunday so, i will know a little something by the time i leave! see you in chicago!

Well, I am sure we will bump into one another--There are some families getting together that evening..keep checking this forum..I think at a restaurant or cafe.

Hello.....my son is in DIV:158 Ship 12 he to graduates 4/18....I can't wait! Sending prayers your way that you have no delays! COFFEE ...girl, lots of coffee...ask for 2 cups when they offer you one! lol! God Bless...CJ

Wow! I thought my son was the only one on Ship 12 Division 158. How is your son doing on this ship? My son Derek is doing okay but sent a letter to me that he talked back to the APROC because he was disrespecting a few people, he filed a complaint and has to go talk to the RDC about the events. He said if I dont get ASMODED for talking back and beating the _ _ _ _ out of the APROC for what he did, I guess I'll see you on the 18th. So now I dont know what is going to happen. Anyone any thoughts????????
