I wonder if that would be the same rate as a Culinary Specialist? I will see if I can find some information for you.

do you know exactly what a culinary specialist does? where do they go to school? how long is the school after bootcamp? my daughter will be doing that after she graduates bootcamp on Nov 7th. and I am lost as to what she will actually be involved in doing. I thank you in advance for any information you can give me

Hi Heather, if you go to the School and Education Forum on this site, you will see the job description for CS posted and some active conversations taking place.

Just enter CS - Culinary Specialist in the search window.

All nutritionist I have seen in the Navy our Officers.

CS = cooks in the Navy

Hi Denise, an entry level Nutritionist usually requires a Masters Degree so don't know if you can go in as an enlisted.

Thanks for the Degree part of that, I didn't know what the requirements are to be one, just knew that Enlisted Sailors are not Nutritionists.
