You need to use the post office when shipping to an APO address as the other carriers to not deliver to APO/FPO addresses but...notsure what to tell ya about a cheesecake!

That is so funny, where are you, maybe i can mail you one. lol

No, nope, not to an APO. It wouldn't make it in one piece or in a timely manner.

I was in Japan for 12 years, if you FROZE it, packed it in dry ice and a container and had it sent to a Japanese off base addy via Fed-Ex, it MIGHT make it. But I wouldn't recommend that. It worked once with homemade tamales, but the post office really hates packages that drip or smell funny after three weeks in transit. A ship? NEVER send anything perishable, ever.

My mom would send me homemade cookies to me on my last ship. She put them in those bags that get the air sucked out of them than mail them. Those where the BEST cookies in the world after being out to sea for a few months. But than when I got home and had some fresh, they where not soo good. Never told my mom that :~} LOL!

The air-tight bags sound like a great idea ... of course I was in the Navy during the Dark Ages, LOL. No vacuum bags for me! Vacuum tubes, yes ....
