Profile Information

About me:
I am a office nurse for a doctor in a small town called Marionville, Mo. I have been a nurse since 1991. I am also a massage therapy instructor and have been since 1998. I have a 13 year old daughter also, besides my Navy son, whom I am very proud of.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Zachary
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He graduated high school, then joined the service. He is a good kid with a great sense of humor
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
It's very hard to be away from them and not communicate like we used to by phone or talk at dinner time and such.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Dana, we'll be at Holiday Inn at Gurnee as well, and I have a feeling that the 'taxi' is really one of those big vans.. I really don't think we will have that much of a problem with space.. I tell you what we could do... we could make a reservation for it to take us to the base at 6am, and split the costs between your group and us., wanna do that?

Hi Dana,
If you could give me the names and their relationship to your recruit of the folks who will be with you on Thursday, I'll be happy to make them nametags. Glad you can join us!

Hi Dana. You mentioned something about our guys doing well even with the "new comers". Who are the new comers you refer to? I just found this group today, and it is the same ship my son is on.

Hi Dana, just wanted to assure you that it's absolutely o.k. to still come...even if you're beat and have red eyes. :) We'll all be a bit fatigued from traveling, but I'm sure the collective energy in that restaurant will perk us all right up. Hope you and all of yours can join us! Talk to you (for real) soon. Welcome aboard!

I don't know them, but I know that Nathan has a band and I'm not sure what those guys last names are..... are they in that band? I didn't go to school there... Nathan's mom was the Sec. to the Principal at the HS for years at Bolivar. His dad taught school at Morrisville.
