About me:
I am the Mother of 2 boys and one more due in October. My oldest son left for GL on June 9th to be a MA. The love of my life, my husband Jack.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Justin
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He showed me what he really wants. I admire him for doing what he wants too and giving his opportunities what ever they maybe a try.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Said “No way!”
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
The importance of deconditioning from Family for survival reasons. I do understand this altough it is hard.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer

Hi Donna, I am a second grade teacher in Texas. I have a request:

Our postcard project is going great, but we don't have any from New Jersey! We got wonderful information and postcards from North Dakaota, the kids(students) want to take a hunting trip...LOL! We also got cards from Maine, Rhode Island, etc. It's great! Navyformoms is great! If you would like to help out with our project please visit my classroom website: http://www.myteacherpages.com/webpages/VWood/ Delete Comment

Hi Donna,
I can't wait to see the baby, I hope all his clothes will fit. The cancer is not doing well, looks like they did not get it all, so next week they will put a port in and she will start chemo and then 30 days of radiation. My divorce came at a good tim, I will be taking her to her treatments. Dad won't have to miss work. Kyle is doing very well, passing all his tests, he has nine more weeks and then we get to see him, yippee. Something to look forward to, for sure. Sounds like all is well with you and I'm so happy for your family as well. Talk to you soon. Sheryl

Donna,
Hey, it's getting close for baby boy to enter the world, I can't wait to see pictues of him. It's been crazy here. My moms cancer has been keeping us busy plus I filed for divorce, Monday it will go to the court house. I moved in with my mom and dad, they live 45 minutes away from our house, but I got everythng moved out that was mine yesterday. Kyle wa not to shocked but did not care for the news. He is doing well he still has so much school to do in school. I miss him so much and he is homesick. It will be along time until December, so I think I will pay the way for my daughter to go up here in October and see him, he has a 4 day leave so that would work out good. Meghan did not take the news real well about the divorce, they should not have been so shocked we've filed 3 other times. Mom will start her 30 days of radiation real soon and it helps me being here because dad would have to take time off work. It's a 25 mile drive one way...yuck!! We are un sure about the chemo yet. It's just been crazy, but now I will be on here more. I've missed talking with you!! I bet you guys are so excited about baby coming so soon. I'm so happy for you. Well, I better answer the othe comments on here. You take care and lets talk soon!!!!! Miss you xoxoxoxoxo ~S~

Hey Donna,
That is awsome Justin is already graduating. Yes, he has weekly tests. Is he an MA? Kyle won't graduate until Jan or Feb 09. So, far away. I wish he was graduating, if he would have kept his first choice he would be graduating as well. He seems to stay busy, they really like downtown Chicago. As, long as he stays out of trouble there, I'm cool with it they have fun. There are so many electricians that part of Kyle's class that PIRed 8-1 will be with the group that PIRed 8-8. That really sucks for those guys to be put back aweek because there are to many. Kyle might be one of them, they don't know yet. He is very unhappy about that. You, know he said there were like 400 electricians, so the classes will be long and I can see were there can be problems getting through. Heck, for all I Know he may not graduate until May. That's just a guess. You would think the Navy would only allow so many to be electricians. Anyway, other than that, how are you doing? I can't wait to get a pictures of the baby. It's getting close!! I'm so happy for your family. Monday, is moms surgery, we sure hope it's not in her lymph nodes. Well my dear friend, I need to go for now!! Take care and please stay in touch. ~S~

I'm doing okay, on the 15th, I may not be so good. That's when the surgery is. I pray it's not in the lymp nodes, since it isa spreading fast kind. How proud you must be of Justin. When does he get out of A School?
