There are two. The first is His High School Graduation as Colors Came into field of all students he was the only one who removed his Cap and stood at attention did same as they retired color the second was standing in the same room as he took His Oath Knowing that he will sacrifice for our Country. VERY PROUD DAD.......
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was proud
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
Mom said wow her son is becoming a man
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hello there you two!

Bryan's school was delayed as well - he finally started school yesterday, I guess we can't ever assume when it comes to the military, the dates change every day! Hes been there over 3 weeks and just finally started. He just received his station orders for the USS GW in Japan. I really wished for San Diego. 5 years seems like forever! I know this will be good for him and he will see and experience a lot of things...

How is Mitchell doing? Did his school get underway?

Depends if he is Reserve, or Enlisted. Reserve is sent home after grad to await weekend dutys. Enlisted is "allowed" 14 day Leave', if they want to come home , THEY pay for it. After leave they go to ECS in Gulfport prob.(combat training)

Yes that was me in the yellow T-shirt. I wanted to stand out so he could see me from the floor (LOL)! I am so sad that we missed you too, but I am sure there will be more opportunities (after all you live close right?) We missed the meet and greet due to airplane trouble in LA - we had to emergency land after being in the air for only an hour, so we didnt arrive to GL until about midnight! I was bummed to because my video camera did not work when I got there (although its new and I probably missed a button!) so I'm hoping others got some good shots!

Im sure your still on the road - have a safe trip home.

Hi guys! Hope you had a GREAT time with Mitchell....send photos! It was so nice to meet you and keep in touch! Will heads to Pensacola tomoorow night....just missed the hurricane there....how about Mitchell's plans? Hope he isn;t delayed too much. Let me know what he is doing and keep in touch!!!!!!!!! Wow - I really dont know how we missed you! I met Shirley at PIR and we looked for you as well (in the crowd). We are home now (sigh) - hope your visit with Mitchell was great!

We leave late tomorrow morning and have a lay over in ATL so we get in about 5:30 pm to Ohare and then we'll get a car and check into the hotel and head to Flanagans!

Have you heard from Mitchell yet??? I just talked to Bryan - everything such a reality now! Yes you are right to say PIR (not graduation) as he corrected me also - and when I said "Yay division three seventeen!" he corrected me again and said "you have to say division three-one-seven" LOL - well I'll get the hang of it! Hope you have arrived safely in Chicago, still hoping to make the meet and greet tomorrow night and see everyone!
