Well.... where to start! I have 3 children and one son in law so kind of 4 children, both my son and son in law are in the Navy. My son is Active Duty and son in law is Reserves. Great kids, My oldest daughter has given me 3 grand-daughters, they are so fun! my youngest daughter is still in highschool and believe it or not we enjoy each other!
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Dustin
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
Wow.... I was so proud at the Navy Graduation but when he came back from his first deployment with the IKE and we watched that ship come around the corner... I don't know if I have ever felt more pride in my son or the country he serves.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
Be encouraging and try to help my sailor stay focused. Care packages didn't hurt either ;-)
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer
Glad things are running smooth for you right now:)
Ben is doing fine, busy as all get out right now as the IKE is still in the yards until July. Guess what?? I get to see him next weekend as I am flying to see my sister in North Carolina and Ben is coming in to see me. Which it is closer then PA for him. I am so excited!!!
Have a great week and HUGS and thoughts and prayers to you always.
HAPPY EASTER MY DEAR FRIEND!!
So, I talked to some of my cohorts today... and we want to maybe add a map function- so moms can show where they from if they want. I'll keep you updated as I know more. :) cc
