hey angela,
good to hear from you! you guys getting excited? Sounds like Blake & Courtney have their heads on right. AJ's finally feeling better. He has also written numerous times about all their flags! It sounds like their division is doing really well. I'm glad the buys have each other. Can't wait to see ya'll at PIR, need to introduce Jennifer and Courtney.
See you soon.tammy

Hello Tammy,

Blake is doing great---passing all test! He told his girlfriend, his DIV has more flags then the other DIV---not sure what he is talking about. Yes, Blake's girlfriend will be attending PIR, she was the first person he added to his graduation list! Blake has been talking about marriage a lot lately, his girlfriend wants to wait after she complets college in one year. She received a full ride soccer scholaship for college and almost has her four years completed! She wants Blake to finish his Navy schools as well before they get married!
An October wedding for Jennifer and AJ will be nice! October will be here before you know it ---how time flies!

Talk to you again soon!

oh yea,
AJ has been sick as a dog since leaving Texas. They are treating him for the symptoms of Tb, he had a severe ear infection - they put him SIQ (sick in quarters) for several days; he's been miserable, but he's doing great on his tests and I think he's finally starting to enjoy some of the things they are doing. He hated it at first (culture shock, I'm sure)
Has Blake been okay? tammy

Hey Angela,
Jennifer and I are taking American Airlines flight 2332 nonstop to O'hare on July 2 (9:15 am) and returning July 7 (9:50 pm). Jennifer wants to squeeze as many days as possible in with her fella'! We are staying at the Crossland Chicago - Waukegan hotel. I think its 2 miles from the base. We went thru priceline.com; I would also like to gets pics of the guys together. Is Blakes girlfriend going to graduation? Wedding plans are coming along! We changed the date from July 4th to October, when he comes home from A-school. His parents aren't going to be able to go to Chicago for PIR and we didn't want them to miss the wedding. So we are waiting on a date to know when he will be home to make further plans. Keep in touch! good to hear from you. Hope your family is doing well. tammy

Hi!! Welcome to N4M's!!! You will find lots of friends, advice, support and laughter here. You just have to read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join our group "Texas Mom's". Just click on the "Group" tab at the top and you can't miss us. Our icon is in the shape of Texas with the flag!! (Or you can go to my page and there it is also).

We are planning a get together on June 27 and 28. We are meeting on Friday night at Pappadeaux's in Kemah. Others will be joining us via webcam!!! A mom, Nicole, has offered the use of her house for moms who need a place to spend the night!! (Sorry, no spouses or kids).

On Saturday, we are headed to Galveston to spend the day at Moody Gardens. We hope you can join us!!!

Please go to the "Events" tab and leave some specifics. How many will attend the dinner Friday night? If you are headed to Nicole's afterward? How many going to Galveston with us on Saturday??

Thanks, looking forward to meeting all the Mom's from Texas, Louisiana and other places (we have one coming from California!!)!!!!!
Thanks,
Brenda

Hello Navy Moms and Dads:

Today I made all travel arrangements to attend my son’s graduation on July 3, 2008.
My husband (David)and Blake’s girlfriend (Kortney) will travel with me! I booked 2 rooms at Red Carpet Inn (I hope this is a good place to stay!) for three nights (July 2-5), total cost for rooms $388.11. I used www.mwrtravelplus.com site to book our flight (this site was cheaper). We are flying out of DFW Airport on July 2 – United Airlines, $267.00 pp round trip. The cheapest rental car location-“Ace Rent-A-Car” special Rate Code “GF”(www.acerentacar.com) at O’Hare Intl Airport, Illinois – for 3 days Full Size Car -$168.00. I was told the hotels are booking fast, since the Navy Base is having a 4th of July Celebration. I hope this information is helpful.

Sincerely,
Angela Young (Mother of Blake Stocks, Future Medic)

Dear Angela,
I hope you get the change to attend your son's graduation. Don't be expecting to reconize you child for it won't happen. It is totally amazing how those kids looks change in just a short time. I was looking every where for my sailor at graduation. When we found ea. other it was like a movie ... we ran to each other with both having tears. I'm screaming, "OMG, look at you!" So, bring lots of tissues, order the video of the ceremony, most of all enjoy how much your son has grown and matured in so short of time.
