Hi Christy,
Sorry to hear about Garrett, I hope he finds a way to cope and get thru. It's this tough. I feel like I have enlisted in the Navy as we hurt for our Sailors struggles. Well Henry received order today he called me crying and scared me. But he has to go back to Great Lakes IL for traing for 3-4 weeks then his Base will ne Norfolk VA. And he was so happy that is was closer to home 14 hr drive for us. And my sister is in the army and is in Washington DC. I am excited

I thought they lost thier liberty. Thought they had to stay on base and report in every 3 hours. I could have gone up but Daniel has a friend who wanted to go and also a another friend checking in Sunday he wants to show around, so decided to go some other weekend. Also did you hear there was a limit as to how far off base they can travel. I am wondering what it is. We are about 300miles or less away. Garrett and Daniel could come here sometime. Me

Hi Christy,

I hear there is some not happy sailors my email is tkonkle59@hotmail.com if you choose to write me there. Henry is home on a 8 day leave. He got married and is happy. Goes back to Lackland Wed the 8th. No orders yet on next school. He is getting very not happy with the hold up. He wants to step up and keep moving forward but he is a stanstill right now. So how is Garrett ? I see him and Daniel are at same place. Are they doing the PRP thing? Henry is still looking good his weight still down but we have to get his spirits in a positive direction.. This holding crap is bad on the sailors..
He said he sees sailors that passed written tests not do to well in the day ops that he has to do. Which is the sailors in holding pretend to be bad people and see how the graduates respond. He said some of them are terrible. And it upsets Henry because he can do all that stuff and the instructors even said the same. But because they passed the written they move on. Unfair to Henry.. I believe the physical and demonstrating in all areas should account for something in Henry's benefit. But oh well he has to move in the next direction and maybe there was a good reason

hi, its been pretty quiet from Daniel, you and everybody. Daniel makes me nervous when he is too quiet. but he did say he is fine and Garrett is fine. Sounds like they have had a quiet week. Said next week should be quiet too. I am surprised the Navy doesn't seem to be pushing them through orientation and getting them working aren't you?

A few days ago I heard it was 133 in Bahrain, I know Daniel will prefer the cooler weather. They passed all the tests at GL, Lackland, surely they will pass these as well. Daniel said they were group studying last night and that will help. He just called and he is concerned about all the studying. He said a few guys are going to be military police and don't have to study or do any of this stuff, he sounded pretty envious. He said the room they are in is temporary, they will be moving to permanent housing and have their own rooms. He said the 8 mile run may be a one time event and to pray it was. It's scheduled for Friday. I tried to encourage him as much as I could. So glad he has Garrett and Alex for friends. Me

Hi, Daniel said yesterday was a lot of just standing by and paper work, very boring. He also told me something that made it hard to sleep last night. He said on Wed which is their PT day they will have to run up hill for 8 miles with a full backpack and wearing boots. Not even in boot camp was there anything that hard and it troubles me. Running up hill is hard period let alone for 8 miiles and carrying a lot of weight. I'm upset but what can you do? Nothing!
