Profile Information

About me:
Merritt Island , Fl. Proud Mom of two special kids..
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Jarrett
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He's always made me proud. He's always had a good head on his shoulders and knew he wanted to do something decent with his life. I cried when he was born, I cried when he started school and even more when he graduated with his class. But never so much as when he left for bootcamp.. The head and the Momma's heart just wasn't together at all. I am very Proud of my young man and all he has done..And the goals he has set for his future.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
No matter how much you look forward to your children becoming adults, the heart doesn't agree with your head at all. Even if you think you're prepared to let go , you aren't..Mostly that no matter what, to keep the faith in him and encourage him to become everything he believes he can be. Because it's about our children and not about us. Love and support from a parent never stops and shouldn't ..
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Saying Goodbye to all.

Just a short note to let all know that I will no longer be posting on this website. My son will be coming home and not going back to the Navy. As he and a young Lady he met have both been discharged .We will welcome him home and move forward . Our disappointments with all of this has got to be nothing as to what he is feeling. As this was his choice, his Future plans will have to be re -thought and worked out . I would like to Thank all of the wonderful Moms out there who have been there with us… Continue
