Permission to come aboard? Granted!

It’s been a few weeks since I have updated all of you on Trevor, so thought it was time to do so again as there have been some recent developments. First of all, I think when I wrote the last update I told you that he had broken his scaphoid bone in his hand. He was in a cast that went from just under his arm-pit down to his knuckles with his thumb in a up position. It’s been awhile since I’ve added an update on Trevor so I thought it was about time. We talk to Trevor by phone about once a week as with the time difference, work schedules and such it is hard to converse more often than that. In addition he isn’t really able to discuss his work with us so much of our conversations are on a more personal level. What we do know is that he is enjoying his time in Japan. So marks another milestone in our navy experience. We said good-bye today after 21 days with our son. He's on his way to Japan (his first duty station). He is excited at the adventures that await him and anxious to put to use his skills and training. We had a nice visit with him the last few weeks. Well folks, Trevor graduated A-school yesterday morning! He is an ITSN now and very proud of his accomplishments, as he should be. They sent him home for a 21-day leave before he has to report to Japan. Last night he flew in at 10:15 p.m. last night. We were fortunate enough to find a small waiting area at the end of the hall where they emerge (as opposed to waiting in baggage claim). We sat camped out ready for him to round the corner.
