Profile Information

About me:
My son is at Great Lakes and Graduates May 30th. I have two children, Ashely 23 and Jonathan 20 (he turned 20 while at boot camp. I live in Afton, NY and My husbands name is David and two dogs Austin and Phoenix.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Jonathan
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He said he was joining the Navy after talking about it from about 9th grade. And the day he Graduated from High School. I have always been proud of my son in everything he has done.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
Get lots of pictures before they leave so you can look at them over and over.
Write to them as much as possible because they get letters everyday and only
get to mail to you on sundays. Carry your cell phone every where you go and make
sure you tell them before they leave to call your cell and nowhere else.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience

Hi Lisa...yeah I'm at work, as well! Tell you husband to sign up for the N4M and get onto the Navy Dad's Group. I'm trying to get it jump-started.

Hang in there and keep in touch.
