About me:
We are the proud parents of a United States Naval Academy Midshipman. Our only experiance and knowledge of the NAVY is the fact that our fathers each served in WWII. We have gained a wealth of knowledge in the 3 years since our daughter was chosen to attend the USNA, and continue to learn more each and every day.---BEAT ARMY!
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Midshipman Lisa
My son/daughter is:
An officer
I was the proudest of my child when:
When she made the decision to attend the USNA over Embry-Riddle and FIT.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
YOU ARE NEVER ALONE WHEN YOU ARE PART OF THE NAVY FAMILY! People worldwide will come to your aid, day or night, to do anything and everything to help and support.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Just read this and thought it might be something Navy parents would like to know.

According to the article there is a website that was founded in 1999 that is
a free service for Navy shipmates to reconnect and keep in touch with one
another. They announce reunions for the ships and contact information.

The website is:

www.HullNumber.com

It currently host 8700-plus U.S. Navy ships, submarine and air squadron
personnel rosters. You can obtain more information by visiting,

No Kristy is a youngster also. I don't know what company she is in? Wouldn't it be funny if they knew each other? I just hope my son stays focused and reaches his goal. Time will tell. He has to get through boot camp first.lol
