Profile Information

About me:
Mother of 4. Three boys one girl. Jason 28, Jeff 27, Megan 25, and my navy recruit Matt 21.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Matthew
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
Their have been many things that have made me proud of him. Joing the Navy is at the top of the list now. Watching him in the recruiters office and the pride he had in knowing he was doing something special. When he saluted the chief the look on his face.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
I'm still trying to find out all I can. One thing I learned is to try to be patient waiting for the next letter or call.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Thanks Maripat. Morgan sent us pictures of Chicago that I'm going to try and add. Morgan's doing well, studying for his 4th test on Tuesday. He's set to graduate 12/19 or 12/20. Don't know if he'll be home for Christmas or not. Glad to hear Matt is doing good. Has he told you what the weather is like there? I'd be curious to know. He probably won't know what to do without snow! Me, well I'd love it.

Hi Maripat. Chris left last Wed for A School in MS. He should be there approx six weeks for SK-Storekeeper. I think actual class starts on Sept 2nd. They get some freedom, I mailed out his cell phone. He was able to purchase internet time as he doesn't have a laptop ( yet ) so he talked to me via AIM, that's really cool. I feel so much better now that we communicate. The phone calls are wonderful. I wish Matt a lot of luck with his new adventure. Perhaps he and Chris will meet. Talk to you soon ... Deb

My sons letter said he was doing his laundry, ironing his clothes, tieing his shoes and making his bed. My response was "Josh, if I'd have known the Navy could get you to do all that in so little time, I'd have sent you long ago! I'm so glad all went well at pir. We have a gps. If we decide to fly, it's goin in the suitcase!

I did hear from him! I was so excited. He said he had 47 min. to talk, but I had just clocked back in from lunch, so could only talk for about 5. He did tell me they all passed. I thought that was awesome as Morgan said they never jelled as a team. Were there some that didn't do BS? We're flying out Thurs. at 6:10 am! I'll certainly be looking for you on Friday.

Oh my goodness, it really just hit me that we're heading out to see him! I'm so excited! He called me after he called his mom, and he sounded good, just tired. I'm working on getting my own ipod set up for the long trip! We leave tomorrow, we can't wait to get there, and see everyone. Will you be at the big meet and greet?

Poor Alaska guy! Morgan said that there were guys throwing up in their shirts so they wouldn't have to do it over again. He did say that it was the best sinus cleanser he's ever had! Well, I'm guessing they make it through BS or are in the process of testing. No call today. My mind was not on work today, it was 1,000 miles away! Plus, it was a little emotional as well. Now it kicks in again! Tell Jason good luck. I'm sure he'll do great. See you on Friday!

Josh graduated from Central Bucks South H.S. in June. CTI stands for Crytologic Technicians Interpretive. He'll will spend 25-63 weeks at language school in CA as soon as he 's done with bootcamp. Basically, he'll be a Navy linguist. Josh is also color defficient. We've known that for many years. Unfortunately, it limits their job options in the Navy or any other branch of the service. He excells in computers and electronics but his vision won't allow him in either field Delete Comment
