I am a mother of three grown kids. I'm 42 and have two in the Navy. My oldest is down in Virginia on the Theodore Roosevelt and my son has been stationed in Sasebo Japan for over two years now. He's on the Tortuga. My youngest goes to college here in MA. I live alone now with my dog Oliver. A 6 year old boxer.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Allyson and Derek
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted, Overseas
I was the proudest of my child when:
They were born!
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
My children, good or bad are where they are supposed to be.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
This was a maturing experience

Dear Anne,
Hi, my name is Barbara and my daughter Kim graduated last month.

I hope to hear from you. Take care.

Anne.
Hope you had a great Fourth. We had a very relaxing one as we live close to where they do fireworks in Lowell. No traveling! I would love another get together. Perhaps the last week-end of the month. My other two boys will be visiting my son at Great Lakes before he heads for San Diego on 8/4 to begin BUDs. Let me know if you need any help. Hope you feel better.
Hi Anne,
Did you tell me that your daughter is going out on the Roosevelt in Sept.? My son is. I thought he was going on the Truman. Please let me know. Thanks, Nancy Doucette
Good morning everyone! If I'm already seated When you get to the outback ,just tell them your there for the Navy moms get together. I will perhaps make up a small sign if need be, but they know we're coming and should tkae you straight to the table. Looking forward to seeing you all!

Hi Anne, I see you added husbands are welcome, would it be possible if I brought my sister in law instead? She's kind of a Navy Auntie and kind of my sidekick. I'd love to have someone travel the hour's ride from home with me and my husband never likes to go anywhere. He's one of the couch potato types, happy with take out a beer and a remote
