Profile Information

About me:
Mom of 4 boys, wife of 20 years.grandmother of 1 grand daughter age 8.I love to spoil her rotten and send her home.
2nd son( TJ) is 24 and hes in navy.He loves it and hes in the aviation field. We are so proud of our sailor ,he has gotten to see the world and the navy has shaped made him into a respectful, caring soldier.
He is offically a petty officer 3rd class. He has worked so hard to get that promotion.
I work at a elementary school as a teachers assitant.hobbies: NASCAR fan wouldn't miss a race Go jr,love to watch Cowboys and Longhorns ,like to read, swim and hang out with friends like to be out side,go places with my family.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
TJ
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He made it through bootcamp and was squad leader.Things he has accomplished while in Navy, places he has gone that I could only dream about.I'm proud of him every day.The Navy had made him into a strong, respectful, caring solidier.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
Go with the flow. When your sailor tells you they get to come home on leave don't get too excited until you actually see them .Navy has a way with changing orders at last minute.Every time they call pick up that phone and listen to everything they have to say.You never know when they will get deployed.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Fort worth parade of lights

I've been kinda depressed, because TJ is over there in the sandbox. But Thanks to some wonderful Navy Moms they helped me cheer up.I got to be part of the parade of lights and had so much fun and it put me in the Christmas spirit.Last year I couldn't wait to put up the tree and this year I felt like it was going to be another chore.I was going to just put the tree up and decorate for my kids and grand daughter. Well yesterday I had fun putting up the tree,I put the lights on the outside of the ho… Continue

Donna,
Actually my daughter's name is Erin, not Ellen. It probably sounded like Ellen when she or I said her name.
Where do I find the photos? I looked a little on the photos and photo album places on the website -- did I not look far enough?
I, too, like your new picture.

Hey Ms D,
Just got around to looking at the site this morning. Chris's mom's name is Tina and her daughter was Ellen. The other mom is Louise. She is in my friends group. We need to get together for a holiday lunch. I am free on the weekends, and we are leaving town on Dec. 20th for 4 days. Let me know if we can arrange a get-together.

I'm the one with the daughter and the bad toe. I had short brown hair, and we were the last ones to arrive. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one bad with names. :)
