About me:: I am married, we reside in Dallas, Texas. I have my only son who is a Sailor in the Navy. I have 2 step sons and one step daughter.

I was the proudest of my child when:: when he stood up for what he believed in.

When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:: Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it

As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:: he had reached the age that I had to let go. He set out to accomplish a goal, and reached it. He carries himself with pride and each time I look at him whether as a civilian or a sailor, he is my son, always and forever. I understand that he will make his own life and I am thankful that he chose the right path and doing the right things.

My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:: Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience
