I am so blessed to be married to the most incredible husband, who is also the BEST Step Dad my son could possibly have on the planet..i also have a step-son and daughter in law who have given us a beautiful grand-daughter and are due to have our grandson in October!!

I was the proudest of my child when:
Mike made the decision to enlist and was sworn in to the Navy and we saw him graduate at Great Lakes from Boot Camp..this was a major turning point in life for him and a very courageous decision and commitment..
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
to be patient and have faith and appreciate every second of the quality time we get to spend together..
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Maxine, thought I wrote to you but guess I didn't, been dealing with a lot of problems on this end. The parade was fun. I got a nice winter Navyformoms jacket. There weren't too many of us. Only like 5 or 6 moms but it was fun, then Sue, Julissa, and I went to Planet Hollywood for dinner. Are you going to the Dec. 13th meet? I hope so.

I don't follow any particular sport but I've always loved going to live games of any sort. I can't wait. It's probably from all those soccer, pee wee football, wrestling, basketball, baseball... games that I went to when the kids were younger. I'm still going to wrestling matches. Joe is participating in the Captain's Cup at CID and I would be courtside there too if I could.

The only one I can make is the Knick's game on the 9th. Things are starting to heat up with the boys being back in full swing at school. Wrestling season is starting up, etc.... But my son, Will, and I will be there on the 9th

I know what you mean, I too hate the cold weather. As far as my kids being independent, well, they need to get more independent, and hopefully fast. Have a good weekend.
