Hello! My name is Erin, I am a Navy Wife to Seamen Ward!! Sterling left to go to boot camp in great lakes on april 16 and had his PIR june 15! He is currently stationed in Bremerton WA on the USS John C Stennis!
Well ill tell a little bit about us and our little family.
Sterling and I got married on November 19,07. We had a baby boy, Hunter Newton, on April 10!
Sterling and I have been through an absolute lot! Our relationship always has its ups and downs. We have had some really tough situations, but our love for each other has kept us strong and together. That is why i know our love is True and Forever! I will be joining Sterling in WA as soon as he gets the paperwork filled out and they get us on base housing! I am quite excited for me, him, and our son! I know it will be pretty tough being a navy wife, but i have a very strong heart and i will always make the best out of it! I also want to give big props to all the other military wives out there, i know it is a difficult job, but really the way i look at it, we are our sailors Heros and they are also ours. If you think about it, we stay strong for them, and they stay strong for us! Our sailors are just as much always counting down the days and running to see if they got mail everyday just like we are. =)
Well anywho, I am very proud of Sterling for joining the Navy. It has always been a life long dream of his. I accepted the fact, and i busted my butt to teach him everything on the ASVAB and study with him and help him loose some inches so he could join and fulfill his dreams.
Right now I am a full time mother and wife. As soon as we get settled in at Bremerton I am wanting to start school. Not quite sure what i want to do yet. But i am leaning towards the medical field. I might start out as taking my EMT classes and move up from there!
Well god bless you all!
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Sterling ( husband )
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
Well it is actually my husband. But there are so many reasons why I am very proud of him! He has been an amazing husband, and I think it is wonderful what he is doing to help support the family, and the country! It is going to be hard being a military wife, but the love we have for each other always keeps us strong and going!
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
HEY ERIN!! I just thought that you might want to join the Prayer Group .... just a thought .... we come together to pray for our sailors and whatever is going on in their lives and that of our sailors families. You take care of yourself .... let me know how you are doing - ok? God bless!!
Hi Erin - when they deploy in January we don't know where they are going and since this website is available to just about anyone to read - we are not supposed to give info regarding ships leaving port or arriving or where they are (unfortunately) ... keep sending him emails ... God willing he will reply and keep your chin up .... our sailors have a rough time while at sea .... give him a chance to think things over but never stop the communications and pictures of your precious child!!! You are in my prayers!
Hi Erin!!! it was good to see you visit the Stennis group. I am so sorry to read that you are having marital problems ... have you heard from your hubby yet? My son went through the same thing .... only when he returned from sea in June of this year he found out when he got to their home ... it was empty and she was gone. He is now going through his divorce and it's a bad situation. The only good thing is that there were no children involved. We found out later that she was with another man for a long time from the Bremerton area. Your son is absolutely gorgeous and I truly beleive that your husband will come around. If you need to talk send me a line ... I will be checking for updates from you. You and your son are in my prayers .... as well as your sailor!!!
Hi Erin So sorry to hear about your sad news.. To me you are still a Navy mom because of your handsome son.. I will send you a message..We can't discuss what you mentioned..Wish you lived closer, dealing with seperation has to be hard...I have been there it was horrible. No child though, made it easier to leave him. He cheated on me also... Give it time maybe it will change.. You have a bond there.. So where are you now?
Yes I told my son but I forgot to ask him tonight. I try not to call him like I use to. I bet hunter is getting so big! Got to keep me up to date on him... Id enjoy that...Keep in touch..
Take care
Sheila

Let him know my sons name is Zachary so he knows. How is hunter. Did I tell you I have a nephew with the same name. He lives in Al...Wish I could see him often. It is lonely here..My son and I took a road trip the april before he left to Al. It was fun..
