About me:
My son is in Boot Camp, and will graduate in April. He will go into the nuclear program. We are from NC
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Justin
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
too many times to narrow down. He is a good boy, with a good heart, and I am proud of the fact that he is doing something he believes in.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
Still learning, this is the first person I have known directly to be in the service.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer

My son, Ben Fox, said he had found a friend in his division from new bern!! I told him, he could spot a fellow north carolinian anywhere!! oh, and when I called to confirm ,one more time, that our room was ready at the comfort inn...........they had " no record of my reservation" so, iIhad to book a room a the la quinta, there were no other rooms around. I had booked 2 rooms and no one had 2. Needless to say, I was really upset. Oh well, nothing could keep me from this wonderful occasion. I'm getting so excited!!!!! Hope to see you there. Be careful driving!!!!

So glad you got your call today. Adam has mentioned several too, but only last names. I know that Bridgette's fiancee is Adam's bunkmate. We found each other just a couple of days ago. I started a new group for our ship/div...please come join. Do you know if Justin is leaving immediately after graduation? Send me your last name in email and I will ask Adam about Justin when he calls (which better be tomorrow). Keep in touch and hang in there

Hello Dianna-
I noticed in a blog post that your son is in the same ship/div as my son Adam. Just wanted to stop and say hello. I have been looking for other moms in the same division. Glad I found you.

I have talked to my son and yes they do get rank just for eagle scout soo way cool! and no you do not have to do sub work to be a nuke. You can do surface vessels and if he is going to do "plant control" it is a electronics technician, if he is to work on the electrical componets it is a Electrician Mate ( my boys) and then there is a Electronic Technician is the one that works with the computers (this is a nut shell version)

well we will have to figure out what level he will be doing as there are actually 3 diff divisions of nukes but the final of what one he is will not be decided until he finishes boot camp so we will have to stay tuned to find out what one he is !!
