About me:: hi,
my name is kelly ,im a registered dental hygienist. My son left for bootcamp on march 24th. Im so grateful i found this website it has made a world of difference. Ive been married to the greatest man for 21years and have 2 sons brandon 20years old and enlisted 18.

When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:: Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her, Said “No way!”

As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:: get all the support you can

My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:: Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

At 10:43am on November 8, 2008, Sue said…: HI Kelly - its been a while - Aaron called me last night and they are sending him out on a destroyer for 1 week so he can fully appreciate his easy job in HI -LOL. He is freaking out a little but I think it will be a great experience for him. He probably does have it too easy where he's at. when I talk to him you would think he is away at college but without all the homework! How is Blaine doing? I hope things are going well for him. I have discovered that this is all a little difficult at times no matter what job you have. Aaron has had to do a lot of growing up and learning to be responsible and at times he still needs someone to push him in the right direction. Now its the Navy doint it -haha. He hasn't been in trouble but they are so lax in HI its been easy for him to get too comfortable. Hope you are well - let me know how its going! Sue
