Profile Information

About me:
I am married and a mother of 5 (3 natural and 2 step) I am 44 and live out in the country in missouri. I am a homemaker and only 2 of my natural children still live at home and they are 11 and 15.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Nathan
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He enrolled in his first year of college. Never thought I'd see that day!
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
to encourange him as much as possible, write, write, write...and as much as I miss him this is about him. NOT ME... never let him forget that I am very proud of him. I have grown as much as he has.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi, Garretts Popcorn is famous Popcorn. Carol said a must have. I printed the directions to a Mall in Gurnee, close to the TGIFridays, and it has a movie theatre. I think Vincent might want that also. An outside table for the room will be ok. Navy Pier is a definite, also a must by Carol. I have printed the directions from the hotel to a few different things to do. I like to know when to make a right or left and not have to search the map. Send me your cell, mine is 661-645-7242. I can't wait, we got on the plane in the morning. Tammie =)

Hi, We would like to do something with both families. It is just the four of us. We had planned to do something on each day, I just don't know what. A kind of play it by ear. A friend of mine used to live in Chicago, and her daughter is still there. They gave me a list of places to go, stuff to see, restaurants. One is the Navy Pier, they said this is a must. Also, the Aquarium, Art Institute, Millenium Park, Sears Tower, The Architectural River Tour. Garrett Popcorn was also a must go to. Michigan Ave for shopping, we probably won't do much shopping, all of our funds are going to travel, hotel and rental car. I am going to hit up the Boy for some money. He told his sister that he is making money and nothing to spend it on. He can spend it on Mom. We are going to be getting to Chicago about Noon on Thursday, and plan on going to TGIF. Do you have the directions from the Navy Lodge? Are you getting to the hotel early? Do you want to meet and follow each other to the restaurant? Tammie

Hi..That is the spirit. Don't let her bother you. Just think this is the time to spend time with Nathan. I can't wait, only 6 days left. This week is going to be busy getting things packed, get work done, and arranging for transportation to and from the airport, taking the dog to Moms house, arranging for someone to come take care of the cats. So much to do and so little time. Can't wait to meet face to face. Tammie

Sign on bonus would be his enlistment bonus. The amount depends on the job and when they went in.
