About me:
Hi, I am the mother of 4, 3 boys, one in heaven, and one girl. The grandmother of 8, yep, I was a child bride. 18 years old when I got married. We are a Christian family and know our son Steve is alive and well and we will see him again. This we know and this we are sure of. Also this is why it is so hard to be separted from Daniel right now. The nest is empty. Accept we babysit our grandchildren a lot. Bob and I love to go to Hawaii and we took a trip just before Daniel left for GL

I had to get up at 1:30a.m. to be at the airport in Eugene on July 2nd, so I never went to the get together. We did make it to the base shortly after 6:30 though for the ceremony. I was surprized how many were already there. Daniels Div was right in front of us and he carried one of the flags so we got some good pictures I hope to get posted soon. Hi New Friends and Moms and Dads, Finally figured out how to do this. Wanted to share a little about us. My husband was in the Navy and drafted into the Marines to fight in Vietam. His Dad was retired Navy and served in WWII Our oldest son Steve died 6 months ago from melanoma. He was 39. yep In portland ~~ Colton is home right now over the thanksgiving for 4 days !! he is such a man now I cant hardley believe it - he will not be home for x-mas :( But you take what you can get and smile the whole time correct ?
Glad to hear Daniel and everything is sooooo much better ! I look at this navy thing as the tide - there are highs and lows !!

I Leta,
Henry is back at Great Lakes IL waiting traing to board the USS Mesa Verde. His home port will be Norfolk VA. He is anxiously waiting to move forward and get going in the job field. I struggle trying to keep him positive as he feels sometimes he's made a mistake in the Navy. I tell him no he hasn't because he will have numerous possibilities and jobs are scarce everywhere else. I am fine just worry about my son.

I know hubby and I will look back one day and regret it, but we didn't take any pictures! A friend of ours who is a judge married us in his chambers and none of the kids are at home...so it is just the 2 of us and the dogs. I even thought of taking the dogs as witnesses.

Hi Leta. I'm so sorry to hear that Daniel's situation isn't improving. I just can't imagine! I am even more thankful Jared is stationed in VA. Wanted to share some good news...I got married Wednesday! I haven't been online because we went to Florida for a few days.

I dont know if they lost there liberty...I heard they could travel up to 320 miles I think..but I know Garrett was going to stay on base..so dont know...let me know if you hear anything..if Garrett lost his liberty he may not have wanted me to know thinks I will be disappointed in him possibly...so if you do find out please let me know...Thanks
