About me:
38 yo single mom. Two kids.
My child's FIRST name only (No Last Names Please!):
Adam
My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
I have always been proud of my son, he is a great guy. I was most proud that he made the decision to join the Navy and serve his country.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
I guess the most important thing I learned was that my son has grown into a very dedicated young man capable of making good choices.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Donna,
Robbie is supposed to do A-school in Great Lakes. I have heard though sometimes they don't get what they sign up for??? I guess we will see. I will look for your parents. Ask them if they have ever eaten at Wilson's.

Donna,
I was looking at your pictures and is it your son's grandparents in the pictures? The lady in the picture looks awful familiar. I live in Benton, La. and work in a catfish, seafood, steak place called Wilson' Cypress Inn. I could almost swear I have waited on them! Let me know okay. Anyway my son is due to graduate on 8/1. I can't wait to see him after all this time. I look forward to you response. TTYL

Donna, thanks for joining the Louisiana group. It is nice having different levels of experience. He is deployed. I have a ways before that happens. My son is still in A school and has C school also in Great Lakes. Does your son like what he is doing?

Be sure and PM me with his city. My nephew is over there. Names are hard to pronounce. I know you are so sad, I havn't moved on yet either. Whats wrong with me>? I'm still here, I babysit this stupid colt in the yard/keep him away from the fence and the mares all day. Can't get the truck started to hook it up to the trailer. (To take him to be cut) He's messed up the new fences mounting them. LOL. TMI?
Yes, I called Patrick after a wk & 1/2. Hows school? Fine. You OK? Yes. How was July 4th? OK. Are you busy? Kinda. Well, call me at your earliest convenience. like pulling teeth. I could threaten to have him checked up on again if he doesn't call me. (Remember?) If you want to talk to me via messenger, I'm here, just had to unhook the cam and mike to install a Seagate external drive.

Hi to you and Adam. It's been awhile since I've checked in! Phil will be home July 12th then reports to San Diego for C school, advanced weapons training. He will be MSF unit. (mobile special forces) His home base will be SD which is nice being as I am up North CA. but understand he will be deploying often in this unit. Well so happy to read you are spending time with Adam. Enjoy!!

I see where it says Asia. Whew. Um, Patrick is doing some mods, then goes to A school next week and will have to do more mods later after graduation from A school. They are splitting it up since there is a 75% drop-out rate from FC's. I thought he'd have 2 wks leave in NOvember after A school, but he thinks he won't until after C school. Oh well, such is life.
