National Call To Service (NCS) now in Active Reserves at Port Hueneme

When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:: Was proud, Encouraged him/her

My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:: This was a maturing experience

At 8:30pm on May 11, 2008, Bonnie P said…: Thank you for the welcome. Robin invited me over. I am on a few other Navy sites as well. My son signed the National Call To Service contract even though he wanted to be active and make the Navy his career. He was given not quite accurate information to put it politely. He is a MA2 and is currently in his active reserve duty at Port Hueneme. It is great having him home again and he possibly will see about going active again at the end of his two years in reserves. If not he will complete his contract in inactive reserves. He graduated boot camp in June of 2006 and spent his active duty near Pensacola, Florida. Currently he is going to school and will work again as a lifeguard this summer.
