About me:
My husband and I live in the Houston area (a suburb called Cypress). In addition to our Navy son, we have two daughters - one in high school & one in elementary school.

My son/daughter is:
Enlisted
I was the proudest of my child when:
He graduated from recruit training - and all weekend as people came up to him constantly to thank him for serving our country. I was especially proud on the 4th of July, when he stood and saluted for our National Anthem at an Independence Day celebration in Arlington Heights, IL, and then when the crowd applauded him as the band played Anchors Away.
When my son/daughter first spoke about joining the service I:
Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:
That he's an adult now & that he is making good choices on his own.
My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:
This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

I was away for the weekend, still no grad pack, AND I missed Sean's phonecall while in the a museum......I am SO sad! He left three messages and called six times. He did say that he sent the grad pack two weeks ago!

It is an inactive sight.........I was just reading thru some other posts, and what a coincidence, Sean is Ship Staff, too.
I hate to keep repeating myself, but I still can't understand why I haven't received his Grad Pak yet??!? Very frustrating.
