About me:: Married for 25 years, mother of two sons. Both want to serve, one as a school teacher, one in the Navy - I am EXTREMELY proud of them both!

My son/daughter is:: Enlisted

I was the proudest of my child when:: I am proud of both my sons - each and every day!

As a new Navy mom, the most important thing I learned was:: I'm still trying to learn how to 'back off'!
Knowledge is power!
And you can never have too much of a good thing - whether it's chocolate or love:)!

My son/daughter is currently in the service or retired, and now I believe:: Our relationship has grown stronger

I want to thank all you helpful and kind people for providing me a place where I can share thoughts, feelings and fun . . . NFM rocks:)!

Arizona Get-Together . . . (or I get to meet my 'imaginary' friends!)

I had an extremely stressful and tiring week last week, too much work, too little sleep, by Friday I am READY for the weekend. Another BEAUTIFUL day . . .

Good Morning Everyone, I had a not-so-good day yesterday . . . well, to tell the truth - I was a "witch" - I was tired, crabby, hot (yes it was officially 103, but actually 106) and I really don't think that ANYONE enjoyed being around me . . . I knew that my 'mood' would pass and today would be a better day. So this morning I walk outside to get the paper from my driveway and see . . .

Counting my blessings . . .

It is ANOTHER beautiful day here in Tucson and I just need to say how grateful I am for all God has given me. I have two FABULOUS sons who make me proud all day, every day. I have a WONDERFUL husband who I'm still madly in love with more than a quarter of a century after I first fell in love with him. I have a job which pays the bills and one that's just for fun. Yes, they did used to lock me in a closet - that is probbly why I am sooo claustrophobic now - I even crawled out of the PET scan last year!! OH - that nurse was mad at me!!!

Yeah, we were mean to her, poor baby. But I remember once when Mom was going to 'whup' all four of us because she didn't know the one who'd "done" wrong and I told Mom I did it so that she would not spank Brenda Sue and Rusty. (I didn't care if she spanked Carol) lol.
Nice to 'meet' you all and if I can be of any help, let me know! I could sew anything small you suggest that would be suitable for a sailor (Brenda Sue sews beautifully, I go for speed and quantity so mine is not all that great) but! functional...
